Good location for one night of sleep in Tissamaharama after a Safari. Clean rooms and nice garden. They also have a pool but we didn't used it. Its a good location also for bigger groups! Our driver had also a room downstairs, so they offer also accomodation for the drivers!

Hotel Nilketha is a great place to spend your vacation with a good quality service and a helpful staff. The swimming pool was brand new and amazing! The environment was really calm and relaxing, good spacious rooms with a beatiful view. The cost of stay was very bearable and reasonable. They can arrange you safari jeeps to visit Yala National Park. Highly recommend the place.

The Manager was really helpfull. Set me up with a nice Safari for the next morning. The other people on the safari let me know it was the best company, they did research on this. Rooms are big and comfi.

Great place to relax before and after a safari tour. The staff helped me to join a safari tour (I was very happy to join a group tour, as I'm travelling solo). Room was very comfortable (very cool, with AC and a fan).

They didnt have the rooms that I had booked. I booked a trip to Yala with the hotel (paid 158000 for 8 people - whole day). We Got a Jeep, that did not fit 8 people and without a cooler plus they did not tell us that we Could not drive around in Yala from 12 to 2, so we did not prepare for a long midday break.

I wouldn’t recommend eating in the restaurant, they tried charging us 2,250 rupees (£6) each for a plate of rice. When we queried this they dropped it slightly and then later back tracked and charged us 1000 rupees. They don’t have a menu for you to look at so when you come to pay they massively over charge tourists! We’ve been in Sri Lanka a few weeks and never paid more than 1000 rupees for fried rice.

The rooms were nice and clean. They arranged the Yala Safari which was good and reasonably priced!

The room was not really clean - there were stains on the bedsheets and the towels. We had to wait over an hour for the food because there was a problem with a missing man in the national park and the police which they had to sort out as they told us later. So, everything was a bit chaotic but as soon as they had time they gave their best.The food we had (chicken fried rice) was very dry and cold, which might be connected to the problem they had, though... So, hopefully it was an exception. The next day they tried to make it up by driving us to the bus station free of charge, which was a kind gesture.

The pool was the best part of the hotel! The room we had was ok - nothing special but fine. Staff very friendly and keen to provide a pleasant stay.

We had a little discussion regarding the safari tour in Yala. First we booked the hotel and received some more information on the 5 hour morning safari tour and prices via booking chat. We thought it was quite expensive so they gave some discount and offered a shared jeep with another 2 couples, which would be less expensive. We decided to go with that option. Once we arrived they said the other couples decided to take the 7 hour safari and that would be better because of expected rain (in the end there was no rain), of course against a higher price. We agreed. The morning of safari, just before we started they said 1 couple cancelled so we had to pay a higher price as we were only with 4 instead of 6 now. The day before they assured us it were going to be 6 people. After pointing this out they did not charge the extra costs for being with 4 instead of 6. So at the end they solved it well, but we did had the feeling they tried to get extra money from us by offering the 7 hour tour and mentioning a 6 people price while it were only 4. The staff did remain friendly and apologised for the situation which we appreciated.

The rooms were very spacious and nice, also the garden with swimming pool was beautifull. Location is great, close to bus station and there are some restaurants nearby.

Stayed here one night to go to Yala. The people from the hotel were really friendly. They wanted to help us with booking safari to Yala. The owner also dropped us off at the the bus stand the next morning.

There were some problems with water for the shower, apparently due to other guests leaving the taps running. Couldn't pay by card, but this seems an Island wide issue. Thought I overpaid for a half day safari Rs 28k. Very few guests, so the breakfast was minimal.

Spacious room and ensuite Lovely infinity pool. Lovely gardens.

Aside from the obvious destination, there isn’t much else to do apart from soak up the sunshine! Fine for us but some people want evening activity on their doorstep.

Hotel Nilketha is a great option before or after safari in the Yala National Park. The pool and jacuzzi set in the palm trees is beautiful! Our room was very spacious, with firm but comfortable beds, good AC, as well as a good shower with products provided. Wifi was also good. The hotel owner was extremely welcoming and let us try Sri Lankan Arrack, which was fun! As we were there over Sinhalese New Year, we also enjoyed complementary tea and biscuits. We dined at the hotel too and the local cuisine was delicious.
