The guest house was the perfect location for the elephant orphanage and safari. It was also a beautiful location in its own right, with a lovely room and dining area. We felt so well taken care of from start to finish. Thank you!

Good location close to Udawalawe National Park and the staff was extremely welcoming :) Big thanks to Roshan for going above and beyond throughout our stay. They offered reasonable prices for accommodation and also organised a safari tour which turned out to be amazing 🙂

The wifi didn't seem to work for us.

One of the best stays we had in Sri Lanka. We booked it completely exhausted when we were 5 minutes away from the place, and when we arrived, there was no one, but in about 30s Marjan arrived on his motorbike telling us that he lives 5min away and came straight when he saw a new booking. He instantly made us feel welcome and made us welcome fresh drinks. Since they also had a jeep, they offered us a morning Safari for a great price, which was absolutely stunning. When we came back, we received another complimentary fresh juice! Marjan was absolutely wonderful. We asked for lunch and he went above and beyond and cooked us multiple wonderul meals we couldn't even finish. The place was very clean, and truly a great experience! However! When looking for the place, look for signs, as google maps doesn't actually have the street that its on in its maps. The signs showed us the way - google maps was wrong.

Breakfast was good but not worth its price, it was a little bit dissappointment after delicious dinner and compared to other breakfasts served to us in Sri Lanka.

Very nice and helpful staff. Delicious dinner in the garden was beyond ours expectations - totally worth its price and highly recommended. Clean and comfortable room.

The room was extremely good value but we were a little surprised at the cost of the evening meal and the drinks we thought were complementary when we checked out. Worth just checking the costs of food and drinks as you go along so that you know what to expect.

The only thing that comes to my mind is that there was no WiFi working, it should be mentioned on booking that there is simply no WiFi.

The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The staff was very welcoming and made us feel at ease. There was tea and kettle for our use. Breakfast was waiting for us as we came back from early morning safari and it was delicious.

Host was wonderfully friendly and happy to help. Great rice and curry evening meal and breakfast was abundant and high quality (quite sweet by normal tastes but seemed authentic and happy to try the local variants). Room was in a good condition and clean, bed comfy. They were very happy to arrange for well priced safari and taxi's too.

The accomodation is located in the middle of the city of udawalawe. While the location is alright, in hindsight we would have preferred a hotel that is closer to the National Park borders, as the Elephants come and visit the fences to be fed.

The staff was incredibly friendly, they were super helpful and for instance provided us with afternoon tea without charge. The offered food options (dinner and breakfast) were so delicious and the organized safari was great as well. The room was spacious and very clean - overall an amazing experience.

We liked everything.

Everything was clean and comfortable. Great location near the Elephant Transit Home. The staff was very nice, they can help you to organize safari for a very good price. They also gave us welcome drink, gave us a very good torch during powercut. Breakfast was very good too.

There was a really great service in Olive Palace-we got a welcome drink, also a coffee before leaving. The room was super clean and it included kettle and cups. The dinner which we order was delicious and people around were still so nice. They also managed all transport that we needed (and driver was the kindest person) and safari (again with great driver). We highly recommend this place.:)

One point less as a mirror in the bathroom would have been nice & the bed is kind of hard.

The people there are just so so nice and caring. I got also a welcome drink :) I went there as a women alone and very welcome and safe. :) I could ask the owner anything anytime over whatsapp and also the staff was outstanding friendly. I ate dinner there and can tell that the portions are huge and it is sooo delicioud, especially the choclate mousse as dessert! Also they organized a safari and it was so so nice! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The driver explained everything I wanted, he was funny and always making sure I get to see everything I want and stayed as long ad I wanted at each animal. I have been alone on the safari, so it really has been a pleasure. We have seen lots (!) of elephants, monkeys, crocodiles, bufalos and lots of birds. The hotel made me a very nice care package and even cold drinks for the safari. Also the transit home is walkable from there (5-10 min.) I would highly recommend this place.

Nice staff anything we wanted they arranged. Delicious meal one of the best we got in Sri Lanka. Accomodation is new the best value for that price, really... They are able to arrange safari trip to national park and elephant transit home is 10min walk away. Also transport by minivan is possible we used it and price like in pick me app... Highly recomend the place... Calm and lovely

Limited sign posting on main road makes it a bit difficult to find, but the owner is available to help guide you.

The host messaged before arrival and offered to arrange all transport and safari options for our stay. The room was large with excellent AC and wifi. Excellent dinner and breakfast served.

Only 2 rooms for rent at someone’s villa. this is NOT a hotel with indoor lobby, bar, restaurant. I chose this place because I thought it was a HOTEL, not a home-stay. and because they advertise having a flat screen TV in the rooms. turned out that both rooms were missing the TV. also, poor communication from the manager or employees (besides that they don’t speak English) and it was crazy that I was unable to find a place to walk to for dinner because of this rural town - Udawalawe- that is not set up for tourists, other than people coming in only for the wildlife safari. also, even though they could contact me by WhatsApp, I wasn’t able to find out when breakfast was available until a man knocked on my door at 8:30 AM. So breakfast was hurriedly prepared… yet they advertise that breakfast is included. on a final note. the cleaning lady and older man treated me like I was trying to cheat them out of payment. The bill showed a higher number than what was quoted on Billing.com. Their Booking.com ad does not say “cash only” so I was prepared to use a credit card. I didn’t have enough LKR and had to get my driver to stop by an ATM on his way to get me. they huddled around his car as though I was going to jump in and we would speed off without paying. even with all these negatives, I still tipped everyone. oH! another thing is that the WiFi connection was very poor and I could not view photos on social media or upload my photos to my travel page. I had to switch to Dialog 4g and use up my minutes.

Large room (missing light bulbs) and good bathroom. A/C worked, but no TV as advertised.
