We absolutely loved the property, the rooms were very clean and spacious, especially loved the balcony. There were fire flies in the paddy fields at night which were so magical - it was truly amazing to see! Definitely a highlight of our stay! The view over the paddy fields during the day was also amazing - we saw monkeys in the distance by the train! The staff were also so lovely and allowed us to change rooms to have ac as it was very hot outside!

We stayed two days . Nothing to complaint there.such a beautiful place. Staffs were so friendly. Foods were so delicious. Calm and nice view with reasonable price. As it far from city, its so calm to spend your busy days. We forgot to bring back some of our things from the hotel, when i call them they even sent those things via courier. This will be our go to place when ever we plan to go south town..

Such a beautiful place. The view of the paddy field with the train going by is unreal. So many beautiful birds and monkeys in the trees. The room was spotless and the shower was great. The owners are lovely.

Honestly nothing !

We enjoyed the nature surrounding the property, very green area, very calm and the jungle view. What we liked the most was our host, they were really helpful with everything, finding us a motorbike, buying lemon for lemon juice at 10pm, booking our taxi for our departure, thank you so much !

We got the room on the first floor, super nice place! Spacious, very clean and a beautiful view. The new owners, who just started a few months ago, are really great and helpful. I highly recommend booking with them:)

There were many ants in our bedroom. Also, there was no mosquito net in the bedroom so when the electricity went out, we couldn't open the balcony door because of the insects and it was extremely hot.

The staff was extraordinary kind, the size of the room as well as the view were excellent.

Property location is great between two beach that you can reach by 5min bike drive. Beautiful view, so many birds that you can hear when you wake up.

We don’t have anything negative to say but be aware as others have said that you need to get a tuk tuk or walk five mins and catch a bus. They are every few minutes! Tuk Tuks £1.25 on average 500 LKR each way . Bus = pence! Approximations as the tuk tuks can depend on your bartaring skills . All adds to the experience! 😀

We loved the location and wildlife around the property, a balance of dropping into Mirrissa or Welagama’s hustle and bustle and horns to a calmer surrounding. Watching the birds, squirrels, parrots ,Monitor Lizzards and apes in a morning. Make sure you take the time to look at the hive of activity on and aroumd the paddy field. Monkeys are in the trees on the other side. We had a room upstairs with a balcony which was consistently cooler and a great place to catch the breeze. The hosts added to the charm, Bani and her husband provided us with a breakfast of champions and spoilt us with pancakes and biscuits and tea. They helped with local services and tuk tuks and even went out of their way to surprise my husband with a birthday cake. Our room very clean, large and airy with a large bed and bathroom. The fan and A/C both worked well as well as constant hot water . Two very happy customers and we would return without hesitation.

Very welcoming! We stayed longterm and asked for mosquito net in advanced and they fixed it for us. If something was wrong for ex our plug for aircon, they fix it directly for you in a minute. They offer us tea and coffee many times and also breakfast and sugo with coconut milk. Always present if you need them. Super welcoming every time you come back to the resort.

Located 25-30 mins walk from beach/town. Be aware you need tuktuk journeys frequently. Ants. Too many just kept appearing in our room. Not sure what can be done however as it happens in Sri Lanka. Maybe a warmer blanket provided in the room. Blind needed on room door at night.

Baniya is very friendly and helpful. Gave us the upper floor room which is large and has a balcony with paddy field views. Cold AC and a very large bed. Large bathroom also with hot water every time! Could also have a pot of tea or coffee brought to the room. We needed to stay an extra night and this also was no hassle. We even had a very relaxed check out later in the day. Easy place to recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Paddy Field ,Milinda and ALL the family made us very welcome and were good fun. Beach is a short walk or just a few minutes in tuk tuk and if you want transport etc Milinda is your man we will definitely be back next time we are in Sri Lanka

Very nice and helpful local hosts.Great bird watching from the balcony. Everything was clean and the property very tidy. Breakfast was extremely plentiful and delicious.

The host family is extremely nice! They helped me with my girlfriends birthday. They set up everything in secret, bought a cake and made it very nice. They put the same effort in keeping everything clean, making fresh and different breakfast everyday, and the internet is also very good! The calmness of the paddy field

It's such a great pick for a solo or couple, Milinda and his lovely family live next door to this 6 room guest house/hotel. Straight from the off a beautiful drink and an offer to change up cash at an extremely good rate. The room is sparkling clean and great view across the Paddy Field with the train and bird life galore from the balcony. It's set back a couple of Km from the town, (easy walk of 25 mins through the cut through Rd) this is a good thing as the beach gets pretty noisy at weekends till late! Smashing breakfast, thanks to you all for an excellent, relaxing couple of days and will return next time I'm in town. Shared fridge/freezer for cold beers too :)
