Not all rooms have mosquito nets. Mine didn't and there were mosquitos. I took heaps of Vitamin C (12 grams) per day and this prevented the bites from turning into itchy lumps. Some items are in need of repair or replacement. Like the power board and chopping board. The TV remote didn't work even with fresh batteries. The WiFi is 2.4 GHz instead of 5 GHz. I was still able to use it and even stream YouTube but the signal would be better if a 5 GHz modem were used. Make sure you bring UK and Indian travel adaptors because like many places in Sri Lanka this place has inconsistent power points.

Shehan (the owner) was incredibly helpful. His Son picked me up from the airport (for $12 USD). He also took me on a paid tour around Negombo. The apartments have a backup generator air conditioning and fast internet. When the power went out I was still able to use the internet and AC. Shehan was happy to accept credit card for a 3% fee which was great as the ATMs charge 800 LKR per withdrawal. Even with the surcharge it was cheaper to pay card. Breakfast was good. Some days breakfast was better than others. The pool area was really nice too. Unless you want to stay in and pay exorbitant prices for a 5 star hotel, this probably one of the best value for money stays in Negombo. A lot of effort has gone into ensuring guests have everything they need. The apartments are larger than most with lovely marble floors and benches. There's a bathroom and kitchen. There is also a desk, which is great for remote workers especially with the backup generator fast WiFi and AC.

Everything was great nothing bad to say!

Clean, good breakfast a lot of options, good facilities! The host Shehan was very very helpful he waited at the airport for us once we arrived and as we had some trouble with my baggage he was very patient, kind and even helped me get in touch with the airport to sort my baggage out. Would recommend for any one and any age:)

Owner was a bit forgetful when asked questions, we requested a taxi to train station on last day we were quoted what we thought was a very high price for a 1 hour journey compared to other journeys we have had. We didn't realise that we were getting the hotel car I'm sure a pickup would have been cheaper. Not a good feeling after a nice stay.

Location, apartment, staff, value we originally booked two days but eventually after a tour we stay actually stayed 10 days.

Park Lane Apartments is a true gem in Sri Lanka. This place is very beautiful, very clean, and has a homely feel. Everything is spot on as described. A few steps from the beach, supermarkets, restaurants, etc. Shehan is a legend! He and his staff make you feel like a dear guest and owner at the same time. Words cannot justify this place. I wish we could have stayed there for more days but our time in Sri Lanka has ended. Probably the washing machine was not very good. It is old and sometimes the water was leaking, but it was still possible to use. And it was replaces by another one soon

The staff and the owner with his family were very polite and accommodating. The place is located not far from the beach. I stayed there for two months and enjoyed it. When I had any issue with the kitchen or a bathroom, there are all being fixed immediately

Lovely appartement for our family (3 kids) and great personal, and awesome breakfast. They had nice restaurant tips in the neighbourhood, and also arranged a rental car for us. Great place, we definitely come back!

Extremely kind and supportive host, i got sick during my stay and Shehan as well as his team quickly responded to all my needs. Big thank you! I also recommend the host's restaurant. Delicious Sri Lankan food! The appartment was very clean and very comfortable, located in a quiet area of Negombo. Beach, supermarket, restaurants in walking distance. About 25mins from the airport.
