We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

MaldivesHad issue on toilet watter pipe called and waited for more then 3 hours but did not attend. again came down informed to the reception to fix the issue. Corridor area got always bad smell and the same goes inside the room. the carpet need to wash. Requested for a wake up call but they MISSED.

I had an excellent experience staying at Pearl Grand by Rathna. It's somewhat of an undiscovered treasure, especially when you consider its affordability and the building's age. The hotel provides all the essentials, including outstanding WiFi. The coffee shop downstairs is perfect for getting some work done, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. Although the gym is small, it offers enough space to get moving, and the pool and rooftop are perfect for cooling down.

The room was agood size and very clean. The bed was comfortable with a fridge and complimentary water. The pool, and bar were fantastic with excellent staff, who allowed us to store our luggage before check in and after check out. Location was good. Good value for money.

Absolutely outstanding service at Pearl Grand. We stayed for 2 nights before travelling around Sri Lanka and this was one of the best in terms of service. The location is quite good in Colombo with plenty of places in walking distance. The rooftop bar and pool make a fantastic place to relax and the ground floor Cafe makes a good latte and is stocked with delicious food. The real gem here is the staff. This is an incredibly well priced accommodation, but the service is 5-star. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is welcoming and helpful, and you can have a bit of fun with the team also. We loved it so much we cancelled our other hotel in Colombo for the end of the trip to come back here. This will be our first choice for every trip to Colombo. Thank you Pearl Grand team. We have loved every moment.

I was welcomed by the whole staff. My flight arrived early and they rushed through a room clean up and had me installed in a room two hours before check in time. The staff here are exceptional. From the bell hops, the reception staff, the cafe staff, the waiters, bar staff, housekeeping , and chefs really looked out for my needs and wants. They always greeted me with a smile. The facilities are great with room service, pool and the sky bar as extras that cost no extra. They had a cleaning service that was quick and professional.

SwitzerlandThe photos on the website did NOT match reality. It’s maybe a personal view, but I found the room small and cramped and I found it difficult to stay there. It looked tired and not as clean as I would have liked. I actually checked out after one night although I had paid for four. The hotel said they could not refund me. Despite this I could not stay there. Definitely not the hotel for me. I rank it the lowest hotel out of six I stayed in as we toured Sri Lanka.
Good location. And the staff were gracious and helped me recover some personal items I had left behind in my haste to check out of this hotel.

United StatesThe shower in the bathroom. Very slippery floor and they had no anti-skid mat, which required me to put a towel on the floor so I could at least stand while showering. Had to be real careful. The response time between hot/cold water is high. Bathroom amenities were meager. The internet was very slow and I had a very difficult time working. The desk chair has no wheels so on the carpet, you had to lift the chair, which was heavy. They have no US plug receptacles, nor USB ports.
Breakfast was high quality with variety to satisfy different palates and preferences. The staff was very courteous. Lobby was spacious and the hotel made arrangements for airport transfer and late checkout (for an additional charge).
