We had a very nice stay at the private organic house! The host and his family are so very nice and even made a delicious dinner for us! (Thank you again!) The host also offered to guide us to a safari, which we did! We were out for like 6 hours and saw a bunch of different animals! So we would highly recommend making the safaritour here.

I had an amazing stay at Private Organic House! The rooms are very nice and clean including AC, a little fridge and a very comfy mattress. Also the bathroom is great! I did a safari that was organized and accompanied by the places owner and it was simply amazing. He knew a lot about the wildlife in the parc and also made sure not to chase the animals which I found very respectful. Furthermore I got breakfast in the national parc during the safari. As there was still time left in the afternoon after the safari, the owner showed me around in the area. We went through small farmers villages, up the mountains and saw rice fields as well as tea plantations. It was great to also see this non-touristic area and I enjoyed it a lot!:) All in all I can just recommend to stay here as I had a great time and the family made me feel very welcome 😊

Really everything was great!

Everything was exceptional !! The place is heaven on earth! Eco-friendly and super clean. The host and his family are amazing. Very helpful and always took care of us. We had booked only 1 night but finally we stayed 2. And on top of that, an unforgettable Safari experience. We saw so many animals, we went to places that we were all alone and we had an amazing breakfast in the jungle. Everything provided by our host. If you love nature, this is the place to be!!! Highly recommended.

Nothing!!

Simply one of the best place of our stay. There is not enough stars to give for the experience we lived. The cabanas are cute, very functional, clean and the AC works amazing. The value for money is incredible here. The owner will make you feel right at home and will care for you as no one. We enjoyed his company and his ability to talk about anything. To us there was no better host the whole stay. Finally the cherry on top: the safari. 5h at the best price I was quoted. We spent a wonderful morning exploring the park with his uncle. They were able to spot so many animals, we experienced amazing scenes such as elephants drinking or taking mud baths with babies. They drove us to places with no other jeeps and were so attentive of our well being. A HUGE thank you for making this experience truly amazing. Do yourself a favor and book here!!!

We had a lovely time in this hotel, safari was great with lots of explanations. We saw many elephants and birds, and the jeep was very confortable. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, we recommend 100% !!

Bungalows built by host and his family on theirselves - very unique, clear and comfortable. Around is a jungle, so you can hear the voices of nature all the time. Owner and his family are very friendly and helpful. They arranged for me fantastic safari including rich breakfast in Udawalawe national park. He has also fantastic chilli plantation and he was so kind that he drove to me to my next destination at the seaside!

It’s really close to others (neighbors) but is actually quite convenient for town trips.

The property was indeed private and really cool! Natural, and down to earth people (Upul, his wife and daughter and dogs/cats) made it really comfortable and personable. The cabins are very cozy and I had several really nice afternoon naps, as they are dark and cool. Bathroom features natural stones and the area is amazingly close to the Safari adventure. He can also host the Safari and was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife!

The cottages are so beautifully furnished and very cozy. The interior is stylish and you can see that the owner puts a lot of thought into every little detail. He is incredibly helpful in every regard and organised a very cool safari for us. The food his mum and wife are preparing is super delicious. Thank you so much for having us and making our stay so unforgettable.

Definitely one of the best experiences in Sri Lanka! Upul is a very dedicated owner and safari guide, who, we felt, enjoys his work which made our stay one of the best in Sri Lanka. It has been mentioned a few times in previous reviews already, but I would just like to say that anybody wanting to stay in a cozy and comfortable organic house and go on the best safari trip in Udawalawe should look no further. We went on a safari trip a few days after to the nearby Yala national park and the two experiences are no near each other because we were almost racing from spot to spot without any explanation of the nature and animals. If you have limited time in Sri Lanka, I would definitely recommend taking the safari trip with Upul to Uduwalawe. You will not be disappointed.
