So this a really special place. It’s a family home in the middle of rice fields, surrounded by mesmerizing green hill country. At times thick rainclouds will make the views even more spectacular. the place is simple, but Thisara and his family will take care of every need. The one extra room for guests they provide has a big bed and an ensuite bathroom. In the night it is really quiet, I had a sound sleep. Thisara also arranged a taxi from his house to Hiriketiya in the south.

What can I say, what a great experience we had in here. The views from your balcony are amazing, host is exceptional and did everything to make our stay memorable. I loved the food mom prepared and the great service of the host. I will come back most definitely!

A beautiful stay in sinharaja rainforest amidst the paddy fields. The room , offers a picturesque set up with the paddy fields and mountain range on the background.. Food was amazing. Most of the foods are made with their own organic ingredients grown in their own yards. Very friendly welcome from thisara and his family plus a welcome drink and snack. Amazing views of rice fields and rainforest . The room room was one of the cleanest one of our one week tour. WI-FI was really fast. Breakfast was great and better than some much more expensive hotels we stayed in. (And way more than we could eat.) Walkable distance for sinharaja rainforest main entrance about 5 minutes. Really better than the price suggests and we would highly recommend it. Would return anytime!

Beautifull place, so peacefull and slow going. Really enjoyed staying here. Host was so welcoming and helped us with guide -Asanka (very nice guy, high recomendation). They prepared dinner and breakfast, homemade meal, very delicious. Thank you for everything. Heaven for us.

This was the loveliest place ever!!! The room was pristine and had the most beautiful view in the morning! The host was so great at communicating and even told us about a cooking class the evening before, which we LOVED! Breakfast was delicious and we couldn't have asked for a better time!!

The location is sooo nice. We were supposed to stay one night but decided to extend for one more because we really appreciated the atmosphere. The Room and bathroom were big and clean . The host helped us to organised a tour in the sinharaja forest and found us a driver for Uda Walawe .

The location of the hotel is incredible surrounded by paddy fields and a river running alongside which you can swim in. The balcony was great where we had dinner drinks each evening. There was so much wildlife which we absolutely loved - monkeys, peacocks, monitor lizards, geckos and loads of different birds,.. The hosts at the hotel are absolutely amazing, so friendly and really knowledgeable about the local area and Sri Lanka - we loved them. We actually left our passports and cash in the room when we left to go to our next hotel. The host thisara our valuables securely and arranged a tuktuk to drive to deliver it to us. We really appreciated this as we were panicking about getting it all back. We really enjoyed the food which Thisara's mother cooked and liked that a lot of it came from the local areas and their cultivations - it was all super fresh and tasty. We loved this hotel so much and had such a brilliant time staying here. Estudyi

The bridge collapsed, but you just take improvised boats to get there. No worries it’s just a bit adventurous!

Location, In middle of Rice fields directly at Rainforest. Staff try everything to fulfill your needs. Also helping with organising guide( ask for Asanka, he really funny guy) for hikes etc. Food tasty.

The sheets didn't smell fresh. Cold shower, but was not a big deal for us. Wifi on request, was okay for us that way but for people who want wifi all the time it might be nice to now ;)

Amazing house located on an island between ricefields. The rainforest is so close! You can see so many birds and wildlife just walking in the area. Big bedroom with window to let fresh air come in. We ate dinner at the homestay and she is an amazing cook. We really enjoyed the food! Sri Lankan breakfast was also very nice. If you like nature and non-tourist places this is where you should stay. Would definitly recommend to book here!

The setting is beautiful and thissara's family were wonderful. Situated amongst the paddy fields and jungle looking up to the hills around siharaja. the homestay is thoughtfully laid out The homestay room has a private entrance, patio, Thanks for the delicious breakfast and dinner.

parents of the owner didn't speak English so it was hard to communicate, while owner himself was out until late in the evening and his phone wasn't reachable during the day. WIFI didn't work also. toilet wasn't properly working. water tap wasn't properly working but when i learn that it was late so i didn't want to disturb owner and his family. if i remember correctly it was only 1 power socket so it was quite tough to charge multiple devices and to use laptop.

Location is really nice and close to Sinharaja forest. mother of the owner cooks very nice!
