What we liked most was the helpfulness and kindness of Anoma, the owner. She is a sweetheart and she was always making sure we were as good as possible. It should also be noted that she is an excellent cook and the breakfasts and dinner she prepared for us were very tasty and large.We also highlighted the extra-large bed, which is very comfortable, how spacious both the room and the bathroom were, and how clean everything was. It also has a mosquito net, AC and clean towels.

We had an amazing stay at the Rock Lake homestay. The room was spacious and clean, and the location is quiet but close to the lion rock and the little town centre. The host Anoma was a lovely lady. She welcomed us with open arms and made treated us like family. She was also a wonderful cook, and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner very very much.

You can see the lions rock but just if you’re looking through the bushes from the front garden. We would have liked to see it from our room or terrace but that was fine because of the kindness of the host!

She treat you like her own family and that was really amazing! We also were sick during our stay and she gave us every help she could give us. If you need breakfast, lunch or dinner then take it, it’s amazing! She also can give you a cooking lesson for good money. We have nothing bad today say about this host!

Highly recommend this place to stay in Sigiriya. The room is very comfortable and clean. Location is perfect not far from the Lion Rock, and close to the lake where you can go for a nice sunset walk with view on the rock! And about the owner, Anoma, she is such a lovely lady, very kind and took care of us like a mum. Very good breakfast and nice chat! Will definitely come back!

We had a wonderful stay in Rock Lake Home, which is an authentic home stay The room is very comfortable and big. The ower cooking a delicious local food 😀 The home stay is very near a beautiful lake that you can swim. We totally recommend stay there!!!!

I really enjoyed staying in this homestay. The whole family is very friendly and kind. They prepare meals that are very cheap and really delicious. The house is not near the main road, so it is calm. The family has their own tuktuk and can give you a ride wherever you want. The room was clean and comfortable, with a working air conditioner."

I would give 10 stars just for Anoma's hospitality. Amazing lady and a great cook. She prepared us Srilankan delicacies for breakfast and also prepared yummy food for dinner. The stay has basic amenities. Close to the Rock and the lake. Tuk Tuks are available for going around

We love this place! The owners are so hospitable, nice and helpful. Room was big, clean with air condition and fan. We have delicious breakfast with fruits from their garden. If you want to meet with true Sri Lanka hospitality then visit this home stay! Really close to rice fields, lake and beautiful viewpoints.

Everything was perfect. The only thing I wish is more tourists visiting Sigiriya and Sri Lanka. There is very safe now, nothing to be scared of. The local people are so nice and helpful but they need more tourists to survive the crisis. Sri Lanka is so beautiful - people do not wait longer !!!

Our stay (me and my little doughter ) in Rock Lake Home was just great, even though we were't lucky to the weather, because it was raining all the time. But the most important thing is that the family who owns Rock Lake Home is so warm, so helpful, so wonderful and so caring. I wish we could stay longer than one night only, because we liked the family so much, especially the lady, who was so good and kind for us. I trully appreciate it. When we arrived, we were given a delicious welcome fresh juice. We had also very tasty dinner and breakfast . The lady showed us their home, kitchen and etc. The owners have a tuk-tuk and they can give You a ride to Lion Rock or Pidurangala Rock, which are not far at all. Our room was lovely and cozy, the bed with mosquito net was huge and very comfortable. Everything was so clean. There was even a hair dryer, that I needed so much :-) Rock Lake Home is situated in a beautiful garden, surrounded by palms, other exotic trees and flowers. This place is amazing. If You are planning to visit Sigiriya You should definitely stay in Rock Lake Home, You will not regret for sure. Thank You Rock Lake Home Family for Your kindness!

Very warm welcome with great family atmosphere. The room was very clean and nice, the air conditioning worked well and there is hot water available. Another advantage is that the windows are facing a garden and it's absolutely quiet at night. The breakfast is real Srilankan food prepared out of local ingredients and it's delicious. You are not going to need a lunch afterwards ;) the host son has a tuk tuk and would take us anywhere we needed taking no charge for short trips and having really good prices to the further attractions. I strongly recommend this place for a comfortable quiet amd affordable stay

The place was really nice! The bed really cozy. And the famille was very welcoming, really makes you feel like you’re famille. They gave really good advice when it comes to things to visit, food and even life advices. The son has a tuk tuk so he helped us a lot going from places to places. Overall it was such a plesure staying there and meeting the family. Definitely going to be back!
