I was traveling alone and stayed there one night before my flight in the morning. The owner was super helpful. He organized a cheap transport to the airport for me, gave me tips where to walk around and what to do, cooked some sri lankan food for my last rupees and woke up in the morning to make sure I get safe to the airport. In general I felt really safe. He spoke good english and was really supportive. I could pay with card, the wifi was working good in and outside the room and the room was clean with fresh towels.

Lovely hosts, great balcony with sea breeze, quiet although off Main Street. Great air con and big comfy bed and room.

I arrived at the hotel around 1 am due to a delayed flight. Despite the late hour, the host was there to greet me warmly. Although my stay was brief, lasting only 7 hours, I enjoyed a restful night's sleep. The hotel is conveniently situated near a rental shop that promptly provided me with a ready-to-go motorcycle. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

They didn't accept credit cards so I had to withdraw cash which wasn't a good option for me. I was told the check-out was around 10:30 am so I had to pack my luggage quite earlier than planned and spend some time sitting in the hall area.

The room was spacious. Towels, soap and a fan were provided. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location had pros and cons. It was close to the bus road, the tourist stores and the beach. However, being on the road meant that you could hear traffic and beeps all the time. The breakfast was good but for me, it was quite oily to start the day with. (It's Sri Lanka so serving tropical fruit like pineapples, papayas and coconut would be perfect for the guests)

Check carefully if your room has AC. Some have, some don't. If you need air-conditioning make sure to book a room with AC.

A decent hotel and a good choice for its price. Great location just few minutes from the beach. Very simple accomodation, but all what was needed was there (and one should not expect more for the price) Most importantly, the personnel was very helpful. The hotel runs a decent local restaurant at the ground floor ( not at all disturbing the rooms upstairs and with separate entrance).

You just need to set your expectations according to the rate. The hosts and food at the restaurant will amaze you.

In the low budget hotel category this is a true gem. The people that host you embody Sri Lanka, they're friendly and helpful beyond compare. The room we stayed in was basic. The WiFi is reliable and decent for local standards, the bed a bit firm and the shower could be more comfortable. We had a room with a fan, which may be sufficient. The rate is amazing and included a standard breakfast. The rooms are above an amazing restaurant with delicious fresh food at affordable prices. The location is on the main road, with other bars and restaurants and the beach within walking distance. Easy to flag down a taxi for longer trips. Staff speaks English and will help you with whatever you need. If you travel on a budget, this is good value for money!

Excellent place specially if you want to do a stopover close to the airport (30 minutes by tuk tuk).Sri, the owner is very nice and he even let me leave some luggage with clothes while I am away traveling. There are a lot of nice restaurants around the hotel with a good variety of food and the beach is like a 3-5 minute walk. Will stay here again definitely. :)

We stayed at royal family hub for two nights: the rooms are good and clean, the hotel is located in the centre of Negombo which is near by the Airport. Very friendly and helpful staff, we felt well staying there. Thank you for hosting us.

We had an incredible stay at Royal Family Hub! The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the extra effort they put in to accommodate our 1 year old son. The food at the rooftop restaurant and breakfast were both magnificent! The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was so comfortable- we miss it already. Lastly, the location was superb- close to the nearest shopping centers, beach, and many tasty restaurants. Truly a wonderful experience overall and would be thrilled to stay there again!
