The actual garden etc were not luxurious as the photos. But they were ok. They could offer Dilmah or hill country tea. The tea they were offering wasn't the best you find in Sri Lanka (at least according to my taste).

Close to Udawalawa Safari and good swimming pool. Nice food.

Unfortunately the 2nd night the shower wasn't very warm. Might have been due to the heavy rain or another reason. The staff in the restaurant speak nearly to no english, although the receptionist will help very well!

The location was a bit isolated, and so I can imagine if were staying a few days, it could get a bit boring. However as we were only there one night, it was perfect.

It was very clean, and the staff were very accommodating and attentive. We had a suite and it was perfect - the couch was super comfortable. The kitchen staff was excellent as well.

Food offered was quite average in quality, not the best we have eaten and there isn’t much choice around the hotel if you fancy something different, though the quantity was ridiculous - HUGE portions. The bathrooms could use some updating, and some of the furniture/upholstery in the rooms could do with a clean (sofa, cushions, bed throw etc)

The staff were amazing, pool was lovely and clean. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were a decent size and nicely designed. Safari tour they organised was very good, and the journey to the park was quick and effortless.

If I have two pieces of feedback it would be that perhaps there was too much food, and I would have preferred something tastier rather than giving us so much. Especially as clearly many of the locals live on so little. The second piece of feedback concerned the poolside washroom which while clean smelt strongly - flushing and sanitising more would be preferable. These are small gripes. I would definitely stay again and for the value offered I would give ten stars.

We only had one night at Royal Reach, en route from Ella to Galle with a stop off to enjoy Udawalawe Park. The hotel has a wonderful clean and inviting swimming pool and the people were so kind and gentle - nothing was too much trouble from arranging the safari and onward transport to the biggest breakfast and dinner you could imagine. There was so much food!! We were efficiently checked in and out - even though the three groups of two all booked and paid separately. The public spaces are inviting and comfortable and the bedrooms well appointed if a little tired in places - though in no way is this a complaint. For the money everything was superb. Compared to Ella you get so much more. Thank you so much everyone at Royal Reach for making us feel so welcome 🙏🙏

Our room was not on the pool side but it was quiet so that was ok

The family room is so spacious and well furnished with confortable and functional furniture. That was like a proper flat! So nice ! The pool is huge. There is a kids playground. Breakfast is a buffet so you can eat what you prefer.

Can you post on booking.com? I have posted on the accomodation’s website: Our family of 3 had a magical stay at Royal Reach Family Resort in Udawalawa. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with genuine warmth and attentiveness by the staff, especially Nihara, the front desk receptionist and Thushara, the duty manager. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, whether it was arranging early check-in for our tired child or recommending hidden gems in the nearby national park. The resort itself was a dream come true. Our spacious room had stunning views of nature, while my son was enthralled by the cool pool. We devoured delicious Sri Lankan and international cuisine at the open-air restaurant, and even joined a guided safari led by local experts, leaving us awestruck by the incredible wildlife of Udawalawa. Royal Reach exceeded our expectations in every way. It wasn't just a resort; it was an experience that created lasting memories for our family. We can't wait to return for another taste of Sri Lankan paradise!

The General Manager, Sera Thushara, went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. We could not fault him or his staff for effort and hospitality. The waiter did his best. The food and fruit was amazing and so fresh.
