Location and all the facilities love the rooftop restaurant

I think the hotel is in a perfect location. I was happy they had a shuttle service and dropped me to the airport. I had daily replenish of bottle water delivered to my room, all in all I enjoyed staying there and will definitely return great staff

Annoying bells beeping from the door not closing. You can easily hear people talking in the hallway. I was on the first floor and a giant insect crawled out of the bathroom sink. Too big to swat so I shoved it back down the drain and pour hot boiling water.

Staff was attentive and helpful. I like that there was free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Views from the 8th floor overlook the ocean. Air conditioner works great to cool down the room.

Accomodation, service and food in Sri Lanka is not to the same standard as western countries and tourist prices can be quite steep for what you get. In short this would be a 3 star hotel at home, there are quirks, like cold showers, missing furniture, patch maintenance jobs, poorly trained staff, but you’ll get that no matter where you go in Sri Lanka, even if you pay top $. So be prepared it won’t be perfect, but you’ll be safe and comfortable for a couple of nights.

We stayed two nights here on arrival to Sri Lanka before joining our tour. It turned out to be one of the better places we stayed in Sri Lanka. Rooms are accurately described, clean, modern and comfortable. Staff are friendly. The breakfast was excellent. This hotel is perfect for a night or two on your way in/out of Sri Lanka. It is not a place to stay for a long holiday.

Room decor is dated and hot water in bathroom was hit and miss. No minibar or drinks service, or room service. I was facing the street and rooms are not soundproof so really noisy between dogs barking, horns and nightlife.

Great location, able to step out onto a main street with restaurants and also close to the beach. View from restaurant at breakfast was amazing. Duty manager was great organising a solo tour on same day, plus power adaptor ( at local prices).

Clean and comfortable with great air conditioning in the room. Room had everything needed- bottled water, tea kettle, mini fridge, hair dryer, and some basic toiletries. Good water pressure in the shower. I didn’t use the pool but it was clean and inviting. Nice breakfast, friendly, helpful staff, comfortable common areas, and a lovely view of the beach and ocean.

I was not impressed how the handled my booking. At first I was charged one night, then I had to pay for a 2nd the next day, which was ok, but I was not using it much and they had an early checking option and could at least have offered a reduction for the first night, where I arrive only at 4 am in the morning. The place has a pool, but unfortunately it is in front of the hotel and all guests entering are walking past it and the busy road just behind the wall, which is not allowing any relaxation at the pool. The beach was also not nice and clean

Breakfast was good. There were plenty of options including omelette cooked to your liking. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Mr Asoka tried to help us locate our luggage which failed to make our flight. He was also kind and lent us his adapter charger so that we had the use of our phone and iPad when our luggage had not arrived.

Hot water in the room, was only slightly warm. Availability of meals at night, in the restaurant some menu items not available.

Rooms were very comfortable, a good selection of foods for breakfast. The location is good for basic shopping and plenty of eating places. Staff were all wonderful, and very helpful - I had delayed baggage on arrival and they made phone calls and helped me until it was delivered - well beyond my expectations.

I booked a room with sea view and 1 big double bed. Didn't had it. Had a view to the mountains, constructions and a small side view to the sea and a balcony to seat on the floor without chairs or anything like you see in the pictures. Complained about it and the reception staff said they didn't had that room. So why do you say you have it and allow me to book it? So they changed us to another room. Smaller with again a small view to the sea but at least this one was sea front but it was the 4th floor so more trees than sea view. 2 beds instead of one, a small balcony again to seat on the floor without chairs and table. Room wasn't cleaned for ages full of spider web and the toilet wasn't seeing a proper clean for ages too, the teeth brush glass was totally dirty. Beds aren't comfortable and the walls of the room were dirty and never cleaned. Swimming pool wasnt that cleaned too and with out towels with the chairs full of sand from other costumers, staff doesn't care about it. Doesn't feel good to use. Nothing was the way it was supposed to be. Thought I was gonna have a good moment to relax after one month in Sri Lanka with an amazing view and pool to enjoy my last day and to say good bye to Sri Lanka and all I had was a bad sleep to go to the airport day after. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's not what it shows. Not good value for the price it is.

Breakfast and the staff in restaurant. The ‘chief’ waiter was constantly chasing people to get a drink and then charged really overpriced prices.

I have no complaints about my stay. My room had everything I needed for a 2 day stay.

Spent 2 nights at Ruvisha Beach Hotel prior to joining a tour group. The hotel was lovely. My room was very spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view of the pool and ocean. The staff were excellent and very informative and accommodating to any request I had. Breakfasts were amazing, tasty and plentiful and very filling. The location was excellent allowing easy access to the beach and nearby shops. I had several swims in the pool which was very clean and cool and perfect after a warm day sightseeing.

On the surface it looked quite clean. But looking a bit closer fit was clear that only the main walk way was washed.

It was centrally located near the beach and modest shopping facilities. The restaurant dinner was delicious!

Had to ask the restaurant to reheat some of the food which was not hot, but they responded quickly and efficiently.

Room was very clean with good facilities. We loved the pool which felt very clean and a great size to swim in. We had a really tasty meal at the restaurant. Staff were friendly and manager was very attentive to our needs. The hotel provided free airport transfer which was great.
