We did not find things to complain or that was bothering

The breakfast was very good and tasty with plenty of different option, Western <Continental breakfast or very tasty Sri Lankan Spicy or no Spicy, Tea also ( not Tea bags ) and also good coffee. The owner was very polite and frendly and tried to help us from the bottom of his heart, we arrived a little late, so family offered us a good delisious dinner free of charge. They arranged us a scooter for rent, which was a good one and we enjoid our stay very much. Its a pitty to leave the hotel. They are trying to build up another top floor with a beautiful sea View, we hope that we can come back again to stay and enjoy our holidays. My wife liked it exceptionally that every thing went so smoothly and did not have to worry about anything.

Batticaloa is definitely worth a visit - and so is this guesthouse. The hosts organized everything quickly and easily (beer, scooter). We bought fresh fish on the beach, the wife of the fantastic host prepared it at home and it was delivered fresh - excellent service.

The sea is probably too rough to swim in.

The hosts were really friendly and gave us tuk tuk rides to wherever we wanted to go (thanks). The cabins are very close to the sea. There are goats that wander up and down the road :) For food try the Lagoona hut and Sri Kishna cafe.

Not the property’s fault but the beach was filthy - we went out of season in Feb so it may be much better from April onwards.

It was a bit tricky to find Sea View Resort using Google Maps & booking.com directions, but there is an electronic sign right outside the hotel which you can't miss. The host had tried to get booking.com to say this in the accommodation details but they hadn't done this for him. So if you are driving there just keep going down Navalady Road & you will see the flashing Sea View Resort sign on the ocean side of the road, opposite the gates to Sea View Resort.

The host was really helpful & sorted out a booking hiccup for me regarding my stay. He also dropped me off at a local restaurant he recommended (The Lagoon Hut) and it was a really good meal. Room was spotlessly clean & smelt wonderful. Just attention to detail made my stay a very comfortable one.

Very nice owner that will help you with everything you need. There are not a lot of tourists in Batticaloa but we had fun exploring the city by the bicycles that the owner fixed for us. The breakfast was nice as well: toast, eggs, coffee and fruits.

Some toiletries would have been nice but at this price point I am not complaining.

I arrived at 11:30pm to be greeted and welcomed by Thinesh. Its a brilliant place to experience the local life away personally. It's a very small place. Comfortable and clean for this price. I intend on returning to do some fishing one day. I arranged for Thinesh to take me on a tour of the town in the morning as I only had one day there. Unfortunately my relatives decided to pick me up early to take me around town. I was disappointed as Thinesh clearly knee more about the place. It does not pretend to be the Ritz. It's basic, but in my view the experience is better than staying at the Ritz. And I have stayed at the Ritz.

The accommodation is adequate for the price, so is value for money.

Sea View Resort is in a fabulous location, just across the road from Kallady beach. We feel that Kallady is the best spot to stay while on holiday in Batticaloa. The outside verandah looks out on to a lovely garden, a nice setting in the evening. Our host Thinesh is a genuinely nice man, he was easy to talk to and very helpful - nothing was too much for him. On our last night we had a home-cooked meal which was delicious.

Cosy beach bungalows with a lovely garden. Our host, Thinesh, was so helpful, driving us around in his tuk tuk and making us lovely breakfasts. The resort is across from a quiet beach, very few tourists around here. Highly recommended.

Our fav restaurants were a Tuktuk ride away, but to counter that, there is a little kitchenette you can use. Highly recommend this property!

Dinesh took care of us from the very beginning, picking us up during heavy rain until the end. In the meantime we had delicious rice & curry, enjoyed the beautiful garden surrounding us and had nice strolls to the beach which is right on the other side of the calm street. We could even use his bikes for 2 hours before we had to go. Thank you very much for your kindness, Dinesh!

Dinesh the host could not do more for you. Always available and open to any request. The room was basic but clean and had nice character beside the beach.

The owner Mr. Dinesh always tried to help us. He picked us from the train station even we arrived very late. He also took us a city tour with reasonable price. I want to say the room is clean and the bed is most comfortable. It's really a unforgettable trip.
