The location is near the beach in a somewhat touristy street, about 2 km from Matara. The room was originally decorated, spacious and very clean. The bathroom was also very clean and luckily there was a squeegee to dry the floor. The host was really super friendly; the welcome was very warm. He gave us good advice and we felt really welcome. The breakfast was very extensive; we couldn't finish it. There were bicycles to use and it was really wonderful to cycle to the "temple on the island" in the morning in the relative cool.

The guy running it is a saint. Literally the kindest person I have ever met. It was almost confusing to me, coming from the west. He provided me with cash, free meals, and even woke at 5am to insist on making me tea and breakfast on my final morning before arranging for a free taxi to the airport. Incredible. The place itself was also great, as a result, but the manager is a phenomenon.

Chammin the host is very helpful and the food (breakfast) is delicious! Love that bikes are available to get around easily, and snorkels are available to go swim with sea turtles! Plus Chammin helped coordinate my trip back to the airport.

This place was recommended to me by friends who stayed there before and so I knew what to expect but still felt that it exceeded my expectations. It's a gem of a guesthouse where the owner has thought of everything. Simple but very comfortable and exceptionally clean lodgings but exceptional service and lots of little touches for every eventuality. Be sure to arrive hungry to breakfast, you also get a doggy bag to take away anything you can't finish! Close to the beach and The Doctor's House. I would definitely stay here again.

This was the best guest house we have stayed in after 7 years of living in Sri Lanka. The owner had thought of every little detail! He gave us welcome snacks and tea on arrival, the room was super clean with everything from beach mats, to a hairdryer to double sheets and the room even had an outside areas to relax and dry clothes. We were advised check out time was anytime we wanted and the breakfast was enormous. We were even given doggy bags to take away any food we couldn’t eat. Highly recommended 🫶🏼

It was perfect for us.

Rooms were comfy and clean and all the amenities were available. The beach is 2 mins walk away and supermarkets are 5 mins drive. The host Chalmie was extremely kind and generous. Tea and coffee were available 24/7 free of charge. Food was delicious and servings were very generous. I would definitely stay here again

Excellent experience. The owner is extremely accommodating. He won't say no to any reasonable request. Free bikes, free laundry service, and, since the next day was not fully booked, he let me check out as late as I wanted. Breakfast is delicious, diverse, only $5, and ample for two meals. Owner is happy to let you take-away the leftovers. He also let me stay one extra night even though the reservation site said it was full, so there's no harm in asking in case you're in that situation. The room is very clean and well-designed. There's a front patio where you can chill on loungers and hang swimsuits to dry. The only thing I would consider is that the property is not on the beachfront, while some neighboring properties are. It is a 10-15 minute walk from Polhena Beach and a < 5 minute walk to Madiha Beach.

Location is great as its on the main road that runs along the beach front (you can be on the beach in minutes) but not its on the beach side so room has no views and is a little dark but that’s reflected in the price

Very clean. Fan and A/C ( although i mostly just used fan) hot shower & mosquito net. Fridge a bonus. Other little touches like two large colourful umbrellas (needed). Hairdryer. Two pin plug adapter for toothbrush (or shaver) Water, laundry, unlimited tea, bicycle, WiFi and occasional random Sri Lankan snacks all supplied free. Chaamin was a very attentive host and made me feel very welcome. I stayed 2 weeks. The little private garden space was great for my morning yoga. The restaurant next door serves great Sri Lankan food and it can be brought to your room.

The place is amazing, but what gives the edge is the owner, Mr Chaamin's incredible attention to your every need. He offers complimentary laundry service, water, coffee, tea any time, and access to bicycles and snorkling equipment as well as fresh beach towels daily. The room and bathroom are spacious and clean, the wifi is good and the fridge in the room is a great bonus. They provide enough towels, toilet paper and extra sheets to sleep under- (which I found was rare in Sri Lanka!) There is also a neat private area outside with loungers to chill. The breakfast served is fit for royalty and so much food that it covered almost my entire day's meals! Thank you for making the stay so special.

I thought this was a fantastic place to stay. The room was very comfortable and had everything you might need, plus some thoughtful extras such as hairdryer, books, a deck of cards. I was welcomed with a tray of coffee, pastries and fruit. The host was very friendly and always available to answer any questions and help with ongoing travel. I have to say the breakfasts were amazing. It was quite a spread and very delicious with different items every day and obviously prepared with great care. I was very happy with my stay and would come here again if I had the opportunity.

There was everything to like and nothing to dislike at Seadina Coral Home. I am so glad that I found this property because it is very comfortably appointed and spotlessly clean. My wife and children (ages 3 years and 3 months) were also very comfortable during our stay. I would be remiss if I didn't add a special thank you to the owner and manager of the property, Mr. Chamin, who attended to every aspect of our stay and ensured that we lacked for nothing.
