Kandy itself was kind of disappointing for us.

Selyna was such a kind lady and Olly the dog was also wonderful. They breakfast view was amazing and the room very comfortable.

Room was beautiful with amazing views! We loved seeing the giant squirrel jumping about on the trees outside. The host was so so lovely and friendly - she made our stay! Breakfast was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. Couldn't recommend more.

Selyna was a superstar - such a lovely host who would do anything to make your stay special. Great location, only a short walk into town. Ollie the cocker spaniel is a real bonus. Breakfast was fabulous too!

The location is great, a short walk into town but is still high enough to have a fantastic view. The host is incredible and made us feel right at home. She was able to help us organise transportation and provided a lovely breakfast in the morning on the terrace, which was beautiful.

I stayed in the budget room, which was perfect for me as a solo-traveller. Maybe for a couple it would be little bit to small and poorly soundproofed, as the rooms face the living room (which isn't used much really, because the terrace and terrace views are so beautiful) and above the doors there are big ventilation slits. Not necessarily something negative, just something to have in mind. It wasn't an inconvenience for me. They have a seperate apartment within the house, which offers more privacy though. Also, the B&B is close to the center, but you do have to take a TukTuk to get there and return. For European standards a tuktuk ride is the same price as a bus ride, though - so this was no inconvenience at all for me. Also, I wouldn't recommend staying in the busy, loud and stuffy city center.

My stay at Selyna Sky Terrace was really nice, even though it was short. What made it so nice was mainly Selyna herself, but the location, the terrace, the common areas and last but not least, Ollie, the family dog and jungest son. It was so nice and interesting to talk to Selyna, who was very open to talk about Sri Lankan culture, the different ethnicities and politics, giving me more insights into this amazing but not problem-free country. She also made sure that I felt at home and I sure did - I felt very welcome, loved playing with Ollie, didn't feel like I was overstepping by using the common areas and was very well taken care of during breakfast (but also otherwise, with tips, with the possibility to store my luggage beyond check-out time). If I'm coming to Kandy again, I'd definitely be very keen to stay with her again. Thank you, Selyna!

This was one of the best accommodations we stayed at. Selyna was the best host ever. She can tell you all about the city and the culture. She also gives very good tips. Breakfast was amazing and the view over the city is just wow. They have room for parking your tuktuk safely. The dog Olli was a very big plus and a big cuddler. I would very much recommend this place.

We loved everything about Selyna’s place. It is up the mountain and you have a gorgeous view on the entire city. You can also see many birds and squirrels/monkeys from the terrace. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Selyna is a lovely host, she helped us even prior to our stay there. Thanks to her contacts we were able to buy the train tickets to Ella that was sold out elsewhere. She had a welcome drink prepared for us on arrival and she explained everything we needed to know about Kandy and its surroundings. The breakfast was also super delicious with fresh fruits! The super friendly cocker spaniel Ollie was a great bonus for us 😊

Absolutely everything was great ! The peaceful atmosphere, quality of furniture, the minimal number of creatures (maybe one ant), the host, her family, the precious well-taken care of cocker spaniel, the view, the vibe, the English spoken by everyone in the family. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I don’t now where to start, because everything was amazing. I enjoyed my stay at Selyna so much, she is such a heartwarming person, the room was so nice, clean and comfortable with everything you need. The location of the property is wonderful and has amazing views. Selyna, our host, was so welcoming and made us feel at home straight away! ( as did Olly the Cocker Spaniel - what a wonderful addition to our stay) . The breakfasts were amazing and the view from the patio was incredible! Selyna gave us lots of information on places to visit and arranged a tuk tuk to the station. Thank you for making our stay in Kandy so lovely.
