A fabulous place to stay, with a stunning view of the hills around Kandy. Breakfast was both generous and delicious. We were made very welcome. The owner and her team could not have been more friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

The only small downside is the location - it's beautiful with great views but makes it harder to get to the city centre and be prepared for rattly drives in tuk tuks!!

A lovely escape from the rest of Kandy city in the mountains. The staff and owner were brilliant hosts, and gave me lots of good tips for my visit and accommodated my allergies at breakfast very well. They were also kind enough to pack me lunch for my day in Kandy as well as for the long train ride to Ella!!

The small room didn't have ac so could be very hot in warmer months. The hotel is a few minutes outside the main town of Kandy which may not suit all groupings if they do not have a driver

The hotel has a gorgeous view down on the valley..the staff were welcoming and Gave us a complimentary upgrade to a better room which was a much appreciated gesture. We had a nice breakfast including traditional Sri Lankan food before our check out which was great

That you can't really walk to anything from what we could figure out but we just went to town and picked up an extra meal for dinner so we didn't have to leave again. The early morning call to prayer was a bit loud but it really can't be helped and I don't think it would matter where you would stay, you will hear it since they are on a microphone. Early morning prayers or chanting can be heard through out your travels of Sri Lanka so it comes with the cultural experience.

We traveled over 3 weeks staying at 9 different accomodations. I waited till the end of our trip to do reviews since I think it is important to put them in the context of the country and not western expectations. This accomodation was the second most expensive we stayed at but it was just what we needed by that point in our trip. The views are lovely and there are different areas to sit at. The closest to western expectations while still feeling authentic. The view is amazing and makes the experience. This was the first bathroom that felt properly clean and of a high standard. The breakfast was wonderful and the A/C worked. Once the internet was up and running it worked no problem. It is up a hill which means you will need a tuk tuk or driver to organise lunch/dinner. Staying at this accomodation is what made our stay in Kandy. The host was super helpful and went out of her way to give tips. Paying was no issue.

Everything! The owner and staff are amazing - we only stayed one night but would have liked to book for longer. The breakfast was the best breakfast we had so far in Sri Lanka and it was so much that we even could take it as lunch for our train ride to Elle

Nothing in particular. The room was ok, but quite basic, the bed structure was old and a bit creaky hence the reason for not rate it 10

The place was clean, big room without the panoramic view but they did offer a room change ( we didn't need it). The balcony view is stunning and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good and they'll make sure you have what you like the most. Amenities in the bathroom on point. Definitely a place to go for!

Could not sleep well because noise from the neighbour rooms/balconies, street and barking dogs around. It is a bit far, and was difficult for our driver to find.

Super nice property up on a hill. Rooms with great furniture, finishing and view. Warm hospitality: we were offered tea/coffee/juice and cake on our arrival and breakfast was really large with mixt continental and local dishes. Lady of the house likes to talk with guests.

The most amazing view and the owner went out of her way to help us with everything we needed. My husband lost his phone with banking etc on it which was a worry. She did all she could to help and thankfully it was eventually found.

The beds are very short, not reccomend for tall people. Also the communication with the host was at times a bit complicated. She is really nice, but can come off as a bit nervous too.

The location and view are really nice, its a beautiful house with view over the buddah, the water and surroundings. The food we had, breakfast and dinner, was some of the best we had in Sri Lanka.

I don’t know what that bad review from that Austrian lady was about but our stay here was a dream. Super smooth communication, spotless rooms, an unbelievable breakfast and the best view you can imagine from the room. Would recommend 100%. Our baby slept like a dream.

Location adds 5 to 10 minutes to get to town r other places. Worth the distance but good to have in mind.

A gorgeous house in a spectacular setting (and what a view!), an owner and manager who offer excellent advice (download the Pick Me app for easy, less expensive and timely transport, both Tuk tuks and cars) and lovely food, presented professionally and with sweet explanations of the dishes and their Sri Lankan roots. The inn is up quite a steep road but that’s how you capture the view and all Tuk tuks got us up there with ease. Great proximity to the town of Kandy itself and beyond- botanical gardens and start of Stage 1 of the Pekoe Trail. We would definitely stay there again.
