Great place to stay at Sigirya. You are in a very calm area, in front of the Lion's rock and next to a beautiful lake. One room is with air con and has a great view. We highly recommend.

It`s just natural, I don`t consider it the disadvantage, to expect dogs barking and protecting the property from intruders during nights. Please bring earplugs if this is a problem for you.

The place in the country close to the lake(s) out of the busy Sigirya main street. Sweet hosts (older couple) who live at the property in their separate house. They arranged everything for us. The bicycles were available at the place. Excellent, and I do mean really briliant and rich, breakfast and dinner prepared at the place. Just the food itself is the strong argument in favour of staying at this place. Incredible look out from the rock at the property. We stayed in the spacious naturally ventilated family house with large beds and the smaller ascetic hut. Beds came with the nets. 4 playfull dogs. Sound of the nature during the nights.

We booked 3 nights ended up staying for 6 nights nights in the accommodation and then came back a second time because it was so great! The small house with its many windows is simply very special. Starting with the furnishings, the cleanliness and the view. The family there, who are incredibly welcoming, genuinely good people as a bonus they prepare the best authentic home cooked food. As former farmers they take pride in there vegetable garden and are happy to show you what you are eating from garden to table.It's an amazing place to relax, surrounded by nature with the lake and the view of sigiriya. We can only recommend everyone to stay here. We will definitely come back as soon as we can. What you get for your money here is unimaginable elsewhere.

Just note that it is a bit out of town so you need your own vehicle to come here, as walking is a bit far.

We 100% recommend this stay, it is wonderful. It is incredibly quiet and there is a great view over the lake to the Lion's Rock. The family is so friendly, we immediately felt at home. Breakfast is the best we had in over a month of Sri Lanka! The room itself is well equipped, spacious, light and clean. Bathroom is also very nice.

Amazingly kind hosts, clean and bohemian room. Incredible food and superb location. The hosts organized everything we needed and we felt so safe and welcome by the whole neighbourhood. The food cooked by the host was the best we had in Sri Lanka! We really enjoyed sitting on the large rock next to the room enjoying watching fishermen in the sunset and Sigiriya in the background.

This was the nicest room we have stayed in in that budget range. Nicely built and decorated, spacious not a typical hotel / hostel room. It is annexed to the owner's humble house, in front of a rock and the lake. It was a different, lovely experience. And how stunning to rise on the rock for a yoga sessions and sunrise and breakfast. The kids loved it too I also loved wandering around in the ways that border the lakes. We even walked to Sigirya rock in over an hour. It felt lovely. The food was excellent. We felt very cared for. Really highly recommended if you are a nature lover.

Amazing location in middle of nature. Even more amazing host. The lady is super nice person and she cooks the best dinners. Don't be scared of the location or low price of this place, it's worth so much more! We loved it.

Great place to stay, we really enjoyed the lovely view on sigiriya rock and the lake, from the rock in the garden. Great place for star gazing aswell. The rooms were very well thought through with attention to detail. And the food was fantastic.

Made a reservation at the day of arrival, but the host informed that he can’t accept me. Of course, it happens. But the host requested me to cancel reservation that would enquire liability on my side. This wasn’t fair, though.
