Entry is a little difficult but that is the charm of this property the lush green setting with a very well maintained Lao Isai soothing

I just want you to know I am not grading the Ritz Carlton. At this price point Saman Home stay is an excellent value. Sam’s is also an excellent, licensed tour guide for Sigiriya rock.

We really enjoyed staying here. The family is very welcoming and are happy to help you out with anything! The breakfast was great, and the garden is really nice for relaxing. It’s on walking distance from the rock and all the restaurants. We really recommend this place !!

Nothing to fault.

Highly recommend! Everyone was very helpful even before my arrival, sourcing transport from the airport as I was very short on time. Mr Saman has recommended (and arranged) a safari in Hurulu Eco-Park which was really nice - if you're in Sigiriya you better book one of these! When I was back I still managed to see the sunset on top of Pidurangala rock which is also a must. Big shout out to Praneeth who picked me up from the airport and also dropped me on my next destination. Very good company and knowledgeable of all things Sri-lankan! Room was nice, location is perfect, in the middle of the jungle and not far off from Lion Rock (both rocks are walkable from it). Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Special mention to Riley, the most playful and friendly dog you'll meet! Thank you all and see you soon!

Beautiful stay! Location is just off the main road, at night it was a little dark but only for a couple of minutes. Bed was comfy and the room was spacious, bathroom was basic but we had hot water for the shower. Wi-Fi worked well! Breakfast was amazing. The owners are so lovely and friendly and they go above to make sure you have a great stay. Great at recommending things to do around Sigiriya. They kindly organised a Tuk Tuk to pick us up at 04:50 so we could climb Pidurangala rock for sunrise. Would defo recommend staying here, amazing value for money!

'What did you like?' ... What didn't I like?? First of all, Saman fixed us a ride from Wilpattu to Sigiriya on short notice. Throughout our stay he fixed our transportation many times for a fair price, even early in the morning. He gave us helpful tips and when we wanted to extend our stay because we liked it so much, he fixed us another great hotel since he was fully booked. Saman's wife was also super kind and helpful + prepared a great breakfast! And their son was amazingly sweet and helpful as well. The location was incredible as we were super close to both rocks (why else would you be in Sigiriya?). The place looks very nice as well and is away from the road - so no noise. The whole experience was great for us, nobody pushed us into doing or buying anything - but we were guided towards our own needs and wishes. My girlfriend and I definitely recommend Sigiri Saman Home Stay 100%, and we would gladly stay again at this very welcoming and kind family.

I had a great stay here! The homestay is run by a little family, both the dad and son are super nice - the son picked me up from the airport for a super reasonable price, waited for me when my plane was delayed, gave me super nice tips and was just super friendly overall. They are super knowledgeable about the area, recommended and booked activities for me and drove for example as well to the base of the pidurangala rock for the sunset hike. The breakfast was also lovely and really really tasty - will def recommend to all my friends coming to sri lanka!

Everything was perfect. The owner Saman, his family and his staff were such lovely and welcoming people. They went out of their way to help us throughout our stay. They gave advice on what to do, arranged tours and helped us get on a bus to kandy. Saman also packed us breakfast for the bus trip! The location is perfect directly across from lions rock and 300m into the main town. If you walk to the left or right there’s plenty of food options. The facility was beautiful and the breakfast was amazing. No complaints and we would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting sigiriya.

What a fantastic find. We saw it was recommended highly so gave it a try. Firstly Saman and his family were so helpful from the minute we got there. Saman helped plan our 2 days in Sigiriya. From the rock climb, to a wonderful massage later. Then the following day a Safari. He even organised our evening meal for us. Thank you so much Saman for being a great host

Exceptional place !! Very kind hosts! Beautiful, peaceful house in the middle of nature. Perfect location just 15 minutes from the Lyon’s Rock. Comfortable, clean accommodation. Excellent breakfast and dinner that we highly recommend!Little tip, if you arrive tired later in the evening and want to see the sunset, go to Mapagala, it's just above the house and only takes 5-10 minutes hike ;)

This is a great place to stay in Sigiriya! Saman is most helpful, he helped me arrange an amazing safari and gave good advice. He also responds very quickly when you contact him. The room is spacious, clean, comfortable and has everything you need, including a kettle, AC, a hair dryer, mosquito net, good wifi and a fridge. The homestay is in a quiet street by the main road, a 5 min walk from restaurants, markets and cafes. It is also a convenient location to reach the Lion’s Rock (15 min walk). Last but not least, breakfast was great! I would definitely stay here again!

Welcoming hosts who are respectful and professional, creating and maintaining a safe environment which is appreciated as female travelling alone. Accomodation is walking distance to attractions and all restaurants in Sigiriya. Host made contact upon booking providing travel advice, was happy and available anytime to assist with guests requests. Extremely comfortable large room with ensuite. Linen spotless. Kettle facilities in the room which was appreciated! I was unwell during the stay, Saman was compassionate in providing advice to access healthcare and assistance if needed, I required to extend the stay which was kindly accommodated. Delicious daily breakfast with very generous portions! Peaceful environment, lovely to rest, listen to birds and watch the monkeys. Thank you for a lovely stay, if available I encourage to book straight away!

We had a warm welcome at this home stay and got everything explained and organised for the duration of our stay. They are so friendly and helpful! The home stay is located in beautiful green surroundings and is very calm and quiet. A comfortable and spacious room and a delicious breakfast. All that within walking distance to town for bars and restaurants and to the main sightseeings.
