Mahesh is an exceptional host and his family is adorable. They spent time with us and were very caring. Our best experience in Sri Lanka so far. They provided recommendations, and Mahesh arranged everything for us at fair prices: scooter, safari, which was an amazing experience. He also took us to an herbal garden where we had a great massage. He prepared delicious dinner and breakfast. The room is spacious and clean, with an extremely large and comfortable bed. What was initially planned as one-night stay turned into 3 nights stay because of the wonderful experience. If you're looking for an authentic experience with extraordinary local people, this is definitely the place to go.

The room is great, it has everything you need. But the important thing here is: i’ve travelled a lot and i’ve been in different places and stays. This one has been my best experience by far. Mahesh has treated me like one of its kind. He has show me around, met all his family, took me to different dinners with his friends… I’ve never felt and lived such a good and local experience. If you are coming to Sigiriya, this is best place to stay ever.

Great family with good English language skills. Very intentional about service. Large comfortable room - expressly designed for guests and with separate entrance from the main home. Great breakfast. We left filled to the brim. Would have loved to stay longer.

Absolutely loved it here! We stayed in the homestay for 2 nights. The room was spacious and clean an we had all we needed. Mahesh, the owner, and his family were so helpful and welcoming during our stay. I can only recommend his place enough if you are looking for an affordable, calm and memorable place to stay near Sigirya. Not only did he make an amazing typical Sri Lankan breakfast for us, which was included, he even gave us very helpful advice on what to do in the area. We will be back here next time!

I did a tour to a village where they showed me a little bit how they make rice flour and so on. Being in the village with the locals was great and the food as well. I would have preferred to do a real cooking class. Tour included a short bull cart and a boat ride, which was just too touristy for my taste. But thats a question of taste and therefore only a heads up ;)

Mahesh is the most amazing host. He suggested so many things to do from which you can choose freely and he will organize it. You'll be taken care of 100%. He even took me to an annual Buddhist event with his friends, staying in their home with only locals - I felt like a guest of honor and I feel very privileged to be part of that! The place is truly comfy with an amazingly huge bed and is very nicely situated in the jungle. In the night there are only sounds of animals. Breakfast was also simply amazing. And then to top it. The money for value is unbeatable!

If you’re going to Sigiriya this is a perfect base! Mahesh and his family are SO kind and will take excellent care of you, from booking activities (with no pressure!) to walking you to the bus stop at 6.30am! Lion rock is a short walk away through the village. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with hot water. Breakfast provided was delicious and we enjoyed our evenings where Mahesh took us to the local food truck for delicious Kottu and we enjoyed drinking some beer with him and sharing stories. We cannot recommend this place enough!

Great homestay, it really felt like a home away from home. The hosts are so friendly, informative and helpful. They organised all of our activities for us during our stay e.g. the wild elephant safari and village tour. Mahesh even came with us to make sure we got on the early bus to Kandy safely, and prepared us breakfast at 5:45am so we could have it before leaving! We couldn’t recommend a better place to stay in Sigiri!!

The room is amazing. So cozy and nice. We really enjoyed our stay there. The host family is absolutely wonderful. So helpful, lovely and friendly. They gave us great travel advice, helped with the tuktuk (Madju driver is great, showed us elephants and nice views on the way to Lion Rock). And the breakfast was delicious! Loved every minute of our stay.

Perfect little homestay, great value for money. The owner can arrange tuk tuk to sigirya rock so you can get there early. It's the perfect location for that as it is only 15 mins away. Very kind and friendly.

Mahesh the host was amazing! He helped us organise our whole stay including local tours and transport. He & his family couldn't have done more and they have a beautiful house to stay in. 100% recommended and great value for money. Breakfast was so good every morning and showed us how to cook traditional Sri Lankan food for our last meal!
