Amazing place, it feels like a jungle resort! The rooms are well separated, with a sitting area outside each room. The room was spacious, clean and had a mosquito net. The road up to the property is rough, other than that the place is perfect.

After it gets dark if you are alone and, especially without own vehicle, you can't really go out, and there is no place to eat within walkable distance. So one really needs to plan accordingly and buy food before heading back for the day. The dogs can get really loud at night.

The room is very spacious and clean, with a nice porch. It is surrounded by green. It is amazing if you are in need of a break from the world. Very very good value for money.

Nothing as a 'dislike', more like 'be aware': as this place is in the middle of the village be prepared for mosquito and different animals that are running on your roof :)

We really liked the attention to detail and decor of the entire facility. You can see that the owners try to provide their guests with all the amenities. The hosts were very nice and helpful (the best tea in Sri Lanka!). Our kids loved playing in the yard. The place is very well connected to nearby attractions.

Asela and his lovely wife and 2 Kids have a really idyllic welcoming place in the green but close to the mainroad and with easy access to all sights. This is a great place because you get your freedom but also all questions answered and the individual careless package if you want- Asela can arrange everything for a fair budget. I'd go back anytime, 100%recommendedp

Asela and his wife are absolutely incredible. They helped me in every way possible. I had such a wonderful time during my short stay there. The location of the home stay is quite convenient if you plan to travel around by local buses. The place itself is super cosy and green. You feel like you are in the middle of a jungle. Would recommend and will also come back :)

Very nice neighborhood. Quiet and very nice to have rest at night. The bed is comfy The room is spacious and clean bathroom You can buy very cheap fruits nearby. Family can cook SriLankan food for a very reasonable price. They can organize a Safari in a discounted price. 350 meters walk to take a bus going to Lions rock or you can tell the owner for him to drop you to lions rock with a reasonable price. The wife even accompanied and showed us the short cut way (3 minutes walk) to take a bus going to trincomalee ,Dambulla, Polonnaruwa etc.

Humble lodge surrounded by nature, with hot shower and strong wifi. Owner and his family are really nice and make sure that your needs are all met. He is one of the most honest man you can find here, as he would suggest you to places to visit and do his utmost best to show you the best deals to save you money.

Just a caution to be prepared for mosquitoes in the area generally as it is dense jungle.

Asela was the perfect host for a truly authentic stay in Sigiriya we could not recommend his lovely home enough! He gave us so much tea and fresh fruit from his garden (even willing to not charge) he took us to a local temple, local food places and even to spot wild elephants. Superb service from a great man, thank you Asela!

Not a negative per se, but bear in mind this place is located in the middle of a wild forest. Bring earplugs since the jungle can get loud at night! If you hear a loud bang - don’t prepare for combat - it’s just locals who try to scare away wild elephants roaming nearby. Once again - we did not consider this a negative, it only added an extra spice to this experience :)

An amazing experience of living basically inside a jungle. Asela, his family and their super friendly and protective doggo named Shadow made our stay special. Decent location travel-wise. Beautiful garden and secluded dining area. Tasty, homemade brekkies. Hosts are doing their best to accomodate all needs you might have. Very informative and clearly explaning everything.
