We had an amazing stay, in the middle of the nature with view on rice fields and Sigirya rock. Definitely one of the best stay we had in Sri Lanka. Also the very friendly owner suggested us a driver, who helped and escorted us for the rest of our trip with very competitive prices and amazing service (no tourists scams). The location with its view on the Lion‘s Rock in the middle of nature. But for light sleepers: it is a bit noisy due to various animals in the surrounding fields, further it gets very bright in the morning. The hostable staff and owner and their recommendations - the owner’s wood carving shop.

This was our nicest and best accommodation on our trip. The owner is kind, he took us in the evening in his jeep to a nearby restaurant. He explained to us the method of planting and harvesting rice. The house itself is beautiful and the whole garden. Everything is clean and the breakfast is excellent.

Nothing comes to mind really

The location is impeccable, the view is superb, the overall quality and beauty of the area is just outstanding. You can see the Lion Rock just from your balcony, and you can get to it by foot. On the other hand you’ll have a view over the rice field (hence the name of the place), and you can also walk to a nearby lake. The host is very welcoming and friendly. He owns a woodcarving shop which is located nearby and worth a visit (we’ve got some lovely souvenirs from him with a substantial discount)

Treehouse isn’t mosquito proof, gaps in the walls, but not a huge issue.

We had a really pleasant stay in Sigirya. The cabins are very confortabile and the views to the Lion's Rock are the best, surrounded by rice camps and in the morning you can hear the bird and the nature's sounds. The owner is a very nice and good hearted person, he help us a lot with advices and he took us to the Lion' Rock with his car. The breakfast is was delicious , autentic Sri Lankan. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks you so much!

The garden is a bit dirty. If you walk home in the night you might want to take a tuk tuk cause it's a bit dark.

They are super nice. The cabin is very comfortable and not far from the centre (walking distance). The cabin has great views and even though it is simple, it is very comfortable and clean. Visit their wood shop, they make beautiful things!

The owner showed up quite late, and since we need to pay to him we waited a bit. Some parts of the hut are rather racked (including the net of the windows…)

Going there is an interesting experience. Sleeping very close to the jungle is thrilling and the room was super clean. The guy at the reception is super kind

Nothing, it’s amazing

It’s super beautiful and the owner is super nice. The rooms are incredibly clean and you wake up from the sounds of birds. There are fire flies and huge birds. Breakfast is amazing, especially the pastry.

We had a misunderstanding the first day about our plan for the day but the owner made it up and everything was forgotten. Really nice man.

The huts were great, only two in the hotel, so very intimate. The views and the sunrise are beautiful. The room is clean and with the mosquitoes net we didn’t get any bugs inside the bed. The breakfast was amazing, especially the first one with all typical Sri Lankan dishes. The owner is a very nice person, attentive and helpful. We also did kind of a cooking class for breakfast. Totally recommend!

loved everything!

Beautiful location on the edge of Sigiriya which makes the places nice and quiet. But still a short walk or tuktuk ride to the main road. The hut is wonderful and gives a good view over the surrounding jungle and fields and even Lions Rock. The owner (Gamini) was super helpful throughout the entire stay and arranged an amazing elephant safari with guide Sanju for us.

You need to be prepared to see some bugs or a mouse in the room. You are in nature so this is perfectly normal of course..

Good price value stay close to the Lion rock and restaurants. The room has a beautiful view of the rice paddies, lots of storage space and a hot shower. The included breakfast is delicious and very generous. The owner is very friendly and is happy to help you with anything. Loved our stay here and definitely recommend others to stay here.

This place has a wonderful location, a wonderful Lions rock view and super friendly owner! We were very happy to be this beautiful place. You can walk to Lions rock from Paddy Field Hut. You can watch the beautiful sun rise from your balcony. And also you can make nice chats with the owner who is helped us for everything. We definitely reccomend this place!
