Just as a note to future guests: the stairs that lead down to you rooms can be a bit demanding, so if you have mobility issues it might pose a challenge.

Absolutely excellent experience! Couldn't imagine a better way to explore the rainforest in Sri Lanka. Amazing hospitality, delicious cuisine. Because it's not as big as traditional resorts, it can be truly sustainable, and still provide a very high level of customer service, making the stay a 5 star experience.

Not a criticism but an observation - intending guests should be aware that reaching the main building and rooms (or the waterfall) involves a lot of steep high steps carved from the hillside. Those with limited mobility will struggle. Note that walks through the forest itself are, however, all on easy asphalted tracks.

Unique location staying in an all-glass conservatory suspended over the rainforest. The owners make guests very welcome. The home-cooked food is very good, the curries exceptional.

getting there from the airport was a tough ride up the mountains but the ride they provided was good.

This place is absolutely beautiful, our room was overlooking the waterfalls and we would sleep on the sound of the forest. The hosts were very friendly and the food was delicious. I would go back again and again if I had the chance.

The location of the property is hard to beat. It has undisturbed view to the forest and all the wild life (birds, monkeys and variety of exotic plants) in it. There is also a waterfall within the property and you really feel together with a nature there. Absolutely stunning base to start your exploration. Also, it should be highlighted that the properly is ran by very accommodating and caring family who went out of their way to explain and show around the area, arranged the guide for sinharaja forest (extremely knowledgeable, communicative and warm), permitted a late checkout (so I could take a very needed shower after a hike) and cooker delicious and organic breakfast and dinner. I would definitely stay there again without any doubt.

a beautiful oasis of peace and quiet. Amidst the rain forest this guest house is in every aspect worth the trip. Any nature lover would think the ecological setup of the guesthouse in combination with its surroundings and the perfect service and meals are just brilliant.

The property is more like a home stay run by this lovely couple who are great hosts. She cooks fantastic Sri Lankan food and he is a great guide, very resourceful. Janith helped us out with almost everything..we were keen on seeing the endemic species of birds and he made sure we saw them all by organising a bird watching tour with a guide (Kumara) who was extremely knowledgeable . He also organised a tour into the rainforest with a great guide. Clean rooms, excellent food and property. Overall a 10/10.

The best location ever - green all around and the beautiful waterfall right outside the window. Janith and his wife are excellent hosts - Big knowledge about wildlife and good food. The forest is world class rainforest. Ask for Sir Comane for trekking guide if possible. He can even copy all the birdsong in the forrest

Night trekking was a bit too long and very exhausting (6,5 hours)

The owner family of the Resort is really nice and helpful. They arranged surprised birthday cake for my wife and they help you all the time. Furthermore it is a very beautiful location in the middle of the forrest.

The quality of the room furnition was below expectation. The wooden roof of the room with the restaurant being on top made it very noisy. The water pressure in the bathroom was very poor and primitive. Also the food wasn't great at all.

Prices are a bit steep, everything is priced in US dollars which is strange and gives a weird impression for non US guests and Sri Lankan guests alike. The food is mediocre and too expensive.

I liked the closeness to nature and cleanliness. Also the owner is very informative and takes you to the waterfall nearby which is great fun.

Beautiful small place. First waterfall is few meters away from the property. Those who can’t hike, you can still blend with nature and have relax time. Food is extremely yummy and nicely presented. Everything was clean. That was my number one concern.
