All good. The way is okay to walk if you are fit, tuktuks are a good choice and need around 7minutes from the city centre, but the value definitely worth it.

it is a nice and easy location. Some rooms has terraces, which is effordable and really nice. Breakfast was included and all in one; the rate is very fair for what you get. What you cannot pay because it is priceless is this amazing staff working there. They were so helpful and handsome and did whatever they could to assist and make us the most comfortable stay. The manager himself made us having a better stay and enjoying better service than in any other more expensive/luxury stay we experienced for now. Also, due to low season we had an upgraded room with balcony, for another upgrade we could have the terrace with mountains view, but we denied. Still we had a great view from the balcony (see picture)

Cons - up a steep hill and the breakfast wasn’t great, would’ve preferred a western breakfast to a Sri Lankan one.

Picked this as it was close to Kandy Backpackers (we were backpackers but we stayed in private rooms close to a recommended/sociable hostel). Pros - Nice, clean modern, AC, felt the most hotel like place I had stayed in Sri Lanka so far. Hot shower.

The room and bathroom was modern and clean. We were staying here with our 6 month year old baby, the staff were very attentive and helpful and the value for money was excellent. Sanjeewa and Suresh were very helpful and kind. Highly reccomended. Would definitely come back.

There were ants everywhere inside the washroom and the towels. The stairs were dirty. They say they accept cards but when we wanted to clear the dues they said the card machine is not working. They kept us waiting from morning till 10 pm saying the manager will arrange one card machine soon. It kept us tensed all day. We didn’t have enough cash and was panicking all the time. We were waiting in the reception from evening hoping the manager will come with the machine. The staff lied to us that he will come soon. At 10 pm the staff cleared our bill with the card machine. The machine was there all the time but they lied saying it wasn’t working. They wanted us to pay by cash by playing mind game. This is very disturbing. We wasted a whole day just to sort this issue. We even skipped dinner so that we can clear the due on time as we had early morning train journey.

Really lovely room, big comfy bed and perfect size room and bathroom all clean and everything we needed. The staff were so nice made a lovely breakfast at time that suited us and even kept our baggage for us while we went to Sigirya for a night, would recommend good value for money!

Firstly, the staff was amazing and the breakfast was delicious. The manager is a respectable and understanding gent and was helpful with extending our stay without any issues. the location to the city was so convenient for us. The rooms were clean and the bed linen were really fresh and clean too.

It’s a teeeeny bit out the way, only if you’re walking. But tuktuks are like 150/200rp and 5 mins into town. It’s nice and quiet at night though! The wifi is super but in our room (lower ground) it wasn’t that powerful, still managed to work though but could have been a teeny bit stronger if on the lower floor. But I’d highly recommend staying here! I would definitely stay again 👌🏼

From the moment we turned up, the receptionist was so helpful, friendly & accommodating! Catered amazingly for us for breakfast (vegan)&we literally looked forward to it every morning, (although they ran out of coconut pancakes on our last morning 😭) The hotel is clean & modern, the bedrooms a great size with a super comfortable bed & DUVET! So rare to find places that give you proper bedding and not just a sheet. We slept so well on our stay here. TV worked with our hard drive (a must if you’re travelling long term), shower was decent with hot water. Honestly we had a lovely time here, I don’t know why they aren’t busier as I can’t fault this place!

Only soap was available in the bathrooms, no shower gel. The view is not great in the lower cost rooms. The hotel is not signposted at the start of the access road.

Excellent Sri Lankan breakfast. The staff were helpful. Rooms and bathroom were clean. There was a moderately good view from the dining area. The location is convenient for the Temple of the tooth.
