The location is about a 15 minute walk from the main surfing area.

We traveled with our family + grandparents and enjoyed our stay in Weligama. The whole Surasa Beach Resort team was friendly and helpful during the whole stay! I was thankful for the quiet evenings/nights at the hotel and surrounding neighborhood. They were accommodating to our needs; we were thankful for the breakfast!

We had an amazing stay at the Surasa Beach Ressort. The accomadation was good and the service was outstanding. Very forthcoming. You can ask them for help anytime. Whale watching with transport was organized for us, as well as surfing lessons. And if you stay there, we recommend the Sri Lanka Breakfast. Very big and delicious breakfast. 10/10 would stay there again : )

There is a Muezzin nearby and we would sometimes wake up early because of the noise, but usually went back to sleep afterwards. So really shouldn’t be an issue for heavy sleepers.

We booked three days on booking and really got used to it and decided to book for three more. There is a big comfortable bed, extra pillows and a mosquito net. There is an AC and a fan in the room, which makes such a big difference in this climate. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, with good recommendations and always ready to help. Extra towels and soaps were provided as well as an option to get the room cleaned during the stay. We stayed in a room far away from the road, and it had a small balcony with a sitting area and a place to dry laundry which was very helpful. Overall, a great value for money. There are places very close by to have a meal which was helpful as well.

The hotel didn't have options for lunch and dinner, having an in-house restaurant could have been helpful. But they do have a great cafe right next to them and that came as a rescue.

The property is well maintained and clean and the host is very prompt and responsive.

Street in the front is a little busy during the day, but that’s probably true for most of the hotels at the beach, as it follows the beach completely.

Nice place, right across the beach. Out Host Suranga was more than friendly and helped us with everything. Beds were comfy, AC worked, completely worth the money!

Located in the middle of the bay and close to everything you need, like markets, bus and train station, restaurants. Everything is very clean and the owners are amazing and soo friendly. We had a room with A/C, but the accommodation in general is shady and cool compared to others. We would always come back!

The room itself wasn't the most spacious but it was still very comfortable and although our room did not have a view of the sea, from the common hall areas, you had a lovely view of the sea.

The staff was really friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, and they gave us fresh sheets and towels as well. There are two common areas where you can have your meals or play board games (there's a carrom board that's perfect for when you're travelling with a group!) There's no restaurant in the accommodation itself but you can use the kitchen to cook your meals (gas included), and there's a couple of fridges to store your ingredients and your booze! There's plenty of cutlery and plates and cups as well. The location was central, close to the railway station and just across the road from the beach. We had an extremely pleasant stay!

The only thing that would have made it better is hot water, when it's a hot day, it's not really needed but it was raining a few days so hot water could have made it better, however for the price, no issue.
