We didn’t like the breakfast and the hotel is right by the main street so you can hear loud traffic by the pool. You didn’t notice it from the rooms though.

the elevator was not working, to go to the pool you have to cross the whole hotel in your bathing costumes, the hotel needs a renovation, especially the old an odd carpet on the stairs

This hotel has great old vibe. It has that feel that you can immediately start shooting on new series of Hercule Poirot. Lovely. Breakfast and stuff was excelent. Also all the interiors.

WiFi awful for the duration of our stay. No cold water from wash hand basin in bathroom until we mentioned for 3rd time. Elevator out of order for duration. we were on 3rd floor.There seemed to be a real reluctance for staff to help us to order a cab to station despite there being a ‘travel desk’ on site. when we did get them to provide a price it was 2.5 times the cost of the journey to hotel from station

The rooms were old and they do keep it very clean and tidy. But there can definitely be more work on Maintenence of the room furniture and light fixtures. Staff were very helpful and attended to our every need timely and cheerfully.

The hotel is really tired and run down. The bathrooms just feel old the buns have rust on. The function that was on was really loud, and whilst the hotel moved us the whole thing spoiled our evening. The food at breakfast was cold and was just not great. Most of all considering the rates charged the room and hotel were really poor. Really bad value for money.

So many things. In General this property is very run down with many areas needing attention. The only elevator was out of action for the four nights we stayed. Cleanliness was a real concern for us - i.e. dirty napkins on the tables, dirty walls and light switches, curtains that badly needed a wash. The Buffet Breakfast was frugal and the staff were slow to replenish empty serving dishes. There were birds in the dining room flying down and picking at the breads from the buffet, that the guest then unknowingly ate. Bar prices were much higher than any other place we visited in Kandy. It's clear to us that this hotel is in a downward spiral.

Location close to the lake was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was clean and comfortable. Swimming Pool was a good size and clean.

Lack of staff,to climbing the stairs to 3rd foor due to malfunction lift. The delays in brining food to the even ordering prior to 2 hours

Hotel rooms have broken furniture. Mostly furniture is very old, you won't be able to close the closets. Even the replacement room had the same problem. When i opened mini fridge cabinet, the door came out of the cabinet. Bathtub had hair in them, not cleaned well enough. Room had lizard in it. If you are a vegetarian, there are very limited options for you. Property is 4 star, called wrongly as 5 star in booking.com which is disappointing. I would say it probably qualifies as a 3 star property at best.

Only good part was staff were quick to take action and help resolve issues.
