Beautiful property, right on the beach. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they made our stay feel like we were at home. Lovely quiet location, 10/10! Recommend this for anyone who wants a quiet time on the beach or by the pool. Zero complaints about this property, it was perfect.

Being picky possible a fridge in the room but there is one down stairs you can use

Thomas and the boys were fantastic really friendly gave great advice ,best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka, free tea and coffee all day ,,told us great places to eat ,,in the mornings go for great beach walks and help the fishiermen pull nets ,pool was very welcome as the sea we to rough for us ,if you go to the left the sea is a lot carmer,,loved it

Not much; pool could've been cleaner.

The hotel manager was by far the nicest we had in the whole of our 2 week trip in Sri Lanka. The property is really nice, on the beachfront of Talalla Beach which is a really quiet, relatively long beach. There is a really chill restaurant next door to the hotel, and a couple of other options 5-10min walk away. The breakfasts were nice (with an option of western - eggs) and the staff always helpful. There was even working wi-fi which is not a given in Sri Lanka! This is a great place if you're looking to spend some days just relaxing on the beach.

Very minor – the water pressure in the bathroom is not the strongest, but this is not an issue specific only to this property, and still works fine!

Wonderful team, absolutely delicious breakfast, a beautiful beach right in front of the hotel. The owner, Thomas, kindly cooked a beautiful meal one of the nights! Thank you for the most generous welcome.

Room and bathroom on the smaller side

Thomas the owner is a lovely man. We were very well looked after. Complimentary tea coffee and water was a nice touch. The location was amazing - right on the beach. The views were amazing. Sea powerful but nice for a paddle. Some cute restaurants nearby. Very small hotel so you really feel like you’re treated well

Pool could have been cleaner and a few tiles off. Nothing else.

Fantastic location. Excited me when I first saw the view from the room. The hotel is set on an uncrowded beach with several restaurants nearby. The hotel is clean, the breakfast plentiful and of excellent quality. Lots of fresh fruit, great thick toast and choice of how you'd like your eggs. Also fruit juice and choice of tea or coffee. Free cold bottled water available all day. Surf in front of the hotel is a little rough but a short walk to the corner of the beach offers a good swimming location with calmer waves. Just as good as the location, view and breakfast are the staff. Thomas and his crew are great hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed 4 days and it was our best stay in Sri Lanka over a one month period.

The most lovely retreat on a lesser known but equally beautiful beach. It felt like a home away from home with tea, coffee, water, fruit available in the day and lovely breakfasts in the mornings. Near to a couple of restaurants and a bakery a small walk away. Great pool and loungers on the beach and a stunning sea view. The host and his team were very friendly and accommodating of any queries we had. We changed our booking to only one night but definitely wished we could have stayed longer.

Property right on the beach, breakfast was huge and delicious. Thomas and his team, Yasindu and Tharaka looked after all our needs. Our room cleaned every day, hot water and good aircon.

Great Hotel directly on beach. Rooms clean and spacious with balcony overlooking beach. Aircon, mosquito net and chairs on balcony. Bathroom good with hot and cold water. Free tea, coffee and bottled water in reception area. Fantastic fruit at breakfast with choice of eggs on excellent toast. Small pool with a few tiles missing but good for a cool down. Free sunbeds and restaurant next door for drinks and food all day and night. Quiet beach with medium waves, fantastic for walking to either end of this unspoilt bay. Thomas the owner and his team are fantastic people and will do anything to help, a pleasure to meet them all. Overall a good simple beach hotel for a quiet time relaxing on the beach. We would love to stay there again.

We liked the hotel so much that it's hard to think of anything negative. We would have liked there to be a bigger variety of places to eat, but of course this was the result of the area being so nice and quiet. There is a super friendly restaurant right next door to the hotel and a couple more if you don't mind walking along to the end of the beach at night. Another point is that most days while we were there the sea was too rough for easy swimming in front of the hotel but apparently this is not always the case and also the western end of the beach is only a short walk away and fine for swimming.

The beach is quiet and lovely, our room was clean and had great views. There's a nice outdoor pool. What makes this place extra special is the host Thomas and the two young men who work with him. They are super friendly and attentive but always professional and never intrusive or over-familiar. Apart from a lovely breakfast the hotel does not serve food but Thomas cooked for us several times (on the house) and his cooking was exceptionally good. No fridges in the rooms, but guests can keep their own drinks in communal fridge and help themselves any time to free supply of chilled bottled water, tea and coffee from lobby.

Bathrooms can be improved

Excellent location just on the beach and you can see beautiful sunrise from you balcony. The beach is not at all crowded and you can enjoy it kind of private beach just for the hotel guests. Thomas is exceptionally good host . He and his team took good care of us. They provided us supper breakfast every morning with lots of fruits, fresh bread and eggs. He even cooked one night for us and served us mouth watering sea food pasta . The hotel has everything you need . Tea coffee and water provided free of cost through out the day. The have beach chairs and umbrellas and provide you beach towels. Room is basic but clean . Location is the greatest plus

We stayed a few days at Talalla Bay Beach and had the pleasure of staying at the new top floor apartment. We enjoyed the quiet sandy beach (no rocks, so good for swimming), loved the spacious and nicely decorated room where you can hear the sea, also the bathroom is very modern. Next to that, Thomas as the hospitable owner, and his team are always ready to help you out in case you need anything, much appreciated. Breakfast is great with lots of fruit and the best coffee we’ve had since arriving at Sri Lanka. Also we had diner one night in the hotel, truly delicious! Hope to come back one day to this lovely spot.

Thomas is a very nice host and the hotel has the perfect location for relaxing days at the beach. The hotel provides everything you need. It was our most expensive stay in Sri Lanka so far, but you pay for the views and sounds of the ocean.

We had an amazing stay in this accommodation. The room was clean and beautiful. There were only a couple of rooms in the house, so the atmosphere of the whole place was peaceful. The host was very friendly and they served good breakfast with beach view. Some other food options are a short walk away (try "juice and curry") and bigger errands must be made by tuktuk, which is not a drawback of the accomodation. If you don't expect to have many dining options and activities, and only want to relax for a couple of days this is the perfect place.

A lot of good things but the best thing was Thomas, the host. He was so kind and helpful from the moment the booking was made. Arranged transport, breakfast and cooked a night for us (great cook!). The location it self is great if you want some quietness. Transport to a more lively area us about 10/15 minutes away. For me and my girlfriend it suited our needs!

Stunning room with a sea/beach view and wall of windows that open completely so you feel part of the beautiful landscape. Lovely design of the spaces - airy and comfortable. Excellent breakfast - huge platters of delicious fresh fruit, Sri Lankan omelette like you’ve never tasted before, Sri Lankan breakfast if you order the day before (definitely do!), tea and coffee making facilities and free water. Sunbeds on beach and umbrellas (you will need them ;-)). All on a stunning and very quiet paradise beach (we swam at the west end of the bay - the waves are really strong along a lot of it). Our host was so helpful - we needed to visit a hospital and he helped sort it all out, no trouble. We ate at the restaurant next door and it was excellent. Also check out ‘Juice And Curry’ on the main road 5 mins walk away. The rice and curry was SO good. We would recommend this lovely guesthouse and gorgeous beach to anyone.
