Only thing was the bathroom smelled a little and I couldn’t quite work out how to use the shower .

Very new and great design. It’s a small hotel and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and has everything you need . The location is excellent and I will definitely stay here again

The bathroom facilities in the bedroom were bizarre to say the least. The wash basin was contained within the room and the shower and toilet were essentially two frosted glass partitions within the room. The "frosted glass" however was see through and as a result there was zero privacy in the shower or toilet. The shower and the toilet cubicle were also very small with toilet door actually hitting the toilet when opened ! According to the manager, the builders did not follow the measurements during construction and by the time they realised the error , it was too late !!

New establishment - room was huge and very comfortable Location - Easy to get to , next street to Barefoot - the well known Colombo eatery and store Staff - extremely friendly and welcoming Food - The hoppers were excellent - claimed by the chef to be the best in Colombo !

Hmmm. Nothing really.

We loved it here. These were the last few nights of our Sri Lanka holiday and we were so glad we finished our trip here. The room was big and clean and had everything and the staff were really friendly and helpful and the pool was clean and lovely to cool off in. It's also in a great location just a short tuk tuk ride from the city centre. I'm happy to recommend Taprobane House.

Advertised with High speed internet, bit I got less than 1MB the whole time i was there, made it very difficult for me to work or watch my Internet TV.

Large room, with modern facilities. Very friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. Convenient location near the water and some great restaurants. I'd highly recommend and would stay again.

Brand new and very beautiful hotel in good location. The rooms are extremely spacious and beautifully designed. The best hotel I stayed in Sri Lanka. Very clean, very supportive and friendly staff. If I’m back in Colombo, I will definitely stay there again!

We had a couple of issues - sink didn't drain properly but staff came and sorted it and expected to fix further before next booking as a maintenance day was booked. The shower hot water was temperamental - went hot and cold - i have seen people comment about the shower so hopefully this is something that can be resolved. This wouldn't put me off staying here - still highly recommend the hotel for a clean modern large new room with a lovely rooftop pool!

This was my second stay. The pool is fantastic. The rooms are large and have four poster beds. The staff are friendly and helpful.

A fabulous new property. The location is great - close to Gallery Cafe. The rooms are large - four poster bed too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The best bit is the rooftop pool - a great chance to relax and unwind in peace as there are only 10 rooms.

Amazing rooftop pool with views to the sea, we were upgraded for free to superior room which was very spacious and have amazing walk in shower - fan of the terrazzo! Well designed and thought out rooms. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful! The architecture and general feel of the hotel was very unique to other places i had looked at in Colombo and inspiring.

This was a wonderful hotel stay in Colombo! Stylish new place with friendly staff that are so helpful! Massive comfortable clean room. Rooftop pool a great place in morning and sunset. Good value for money. Close to Barefoot. Drink on arrival and also when we were waiting around for our late night flight. So kind!

The most friendly and professional staff in Colombo. New and very clean boutique hotel. Excellent size room and comfortable bed. Very safe. In a non-touristy part of town, and close to stores, shops, restaurants, etc. Rooftop pool is clean and refreshing. Nice on-site restaurant for meals. Would 100% stay there again.
