Breakfast isnt worth it but that wasnt a big suprise for asia. Price in the restaurant is not quite cheap, but there are some beach Restaurants nearby.

Hotels staff was totaly helpfull and friendly. Got upgraded because of the low season is starting.Big room with a big bathroom. Best thing was the pool which fits to our 2year old little girl.

Need to fix bathroom taps in delux room. Room needs some renovation. Prices are too high for this quality (they try to do something european level lux but still it is overpriced srilankian imagination how luxary shoul look like).

Great place on the beach, very clean beach. Nice breakfast, beach bar. Big room. Quiet place until locals not there :) very comfortable big bed.

Staff could be a little slower, requests could take time. Rest was great.

Lovely property for some peaceful time. You can spend a good time within the resort by the beach beds. The pool is small but welcoming. The staff is accomodating and helpful. Overall a good relaxed stay.

The pool was an alarming green on arrival but the pool attendants quickly sorted that out so I could use it the next day. The hotel tried to give me top floor but my second floor room was great. The hotel charges 10 % ‘service’ as you check in which was surprising - just be warned - I missed the small print. I hope the staff get the service charge. The hotel was quite run down and has potential to be much smarter - but for the money it was okay.

The location is amazing - the beach beautiful and the hotel has a huge pool. Lots of lovely restaurants near by on the beach. The pool attendant was great at sorting out the earlier green colour after a public holiday and lots of people using it.

In the al cart menu the food quality should improve.. ordered food both days was dry and too salty. The reception staff should be more attentive and available.. specially during checking and check out.

hotel is situated very close to the beach and has an amazing clean pool. The breakfast buff was amazing has a good choice of food.

this is not a 5 star hotel, i would say more like 4 star as furniture is quite old and the spa was not working due to Covid situation

Super unfriendly staff. During the checkout they made us wait saying that their pool towels are missing. I told them that your housekeeping staff has not kept it. They kept telling us that they are missing and were asking questions like brief the hotel staff which has come for housekeeping. Finally, after 15-20 mins- they said that it is all sorted and they regret the inconvenience. It was an error at their end. We have stayed around the world in all kinds of properties and this never happened. Believe you guest, no guest staying in these expensive properties care about used towels. Not recommended at all for travel with family.

Everytime charged me extra and the room and service was not worth the price !

No one understood English I kept being charged extra and no basic facilities and the hotel is too pricey for what they offer

there is noise from the train station, but it's not so terrible trains pass ony a few times a day

stay we spent with a child 21months, the place is very safe in case you want to let the child move freely around the area. The place met our expectations. I have to very much praise the hotel manager very quickly resolved our requests. The food is very good. The chef, also the staff, is very friendly and will always fulfill your orders with a smile

ATTENTION! THIS IS NOT 5 stars Hotel (anymore)!!! 1) First of all STUFF IS NOT ENGLISH SPEAKING! You ask them smthing - they look like they get it, leave and then - Nothing! you wait - they are not coming. (By the way, when you order Tom Yam - you will get rather tasty but nothing common with Tom Yam) 2) In the room - Pillows smelled rotten! Rotten, Karl! three of three pillows with a disgusting smell, that you can feel all over the room. After we asked to change them (it took 15 minutes to explain the problem to not English speaking stuff!)), they did it for more rotten smell pillows. 3) laundry returned our clothes with the same ROTTEN SMELL!! So we had 2 bags with smelly clothes at the beginning of the holiday. And this is just a beginning. 4) room is at least 30 m2 instead of 60 m2 room we paid for. (And again no chance to ask about it in English) 5) in the room there were no robes. 1 set of shampoos for 2 persons (in booking as well) 6) No robes 7) Room cleaning is once per 2 days. But they cleaned good 8) The room we chose was with a big bath with a window view from it. BUT bath stopper didn’t work, so we couldn’t fill the bath we overpaid for and the window was so dirty (with dust and PAINT!), that you hardly see anything from it. Actually the sink stopper didn’t work too, but opposite - water didn’t go. after asking 3 times (!) in English and with pantomime - nothing happened. Then we left with no bathing. 9) No hot water, by the way. 10) the door light was playing as at techno club. We told about it, showed it, they saw it - but I m sure it would s still “partying” 11) No fumigation at the hotel, so if there s no wind - watch out! thanks God - fumigation is always with me. 12) restaurant and bar stuff got in groups of 3-7 people and sitting at the guests zone. watching how you swimming, sunbathing, eating. this was really disturbing. and when u ask them to bring coffee - you wait for 20 minutes. while others are still watching u.

We really enjoy the room design (but read negative part of our staying!). And city beach at the hotel (in Bentota there are no private beaches) is really nice as all beaches in Bentota
