Temple tree is wonderful place to stay in. Room is spacious, good bed linen, very cosy. I like the natural light, big windows. It truly feels like hosts want to make your stay special!

Some little things to consider: Breakfasts are very big, so they might not be the best value for money, depending on your taste. You can book without breakfast and add it later. The beach near the place (and in the city overall) is not good for swimming or relaxing, so you may need to walk around 35 minutes or even take a bus to Mirissa. However, it's good and popular for beginner surfers. Mosquitoes are very active for a couple of hours in the evening, so be prepared.

The owners also live on the property and are very helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed both the room inside and having a table to work outside. It's conveniently close to the beach (although not suitable for swimming) and fish cooking points Coffee, tea, water, mini fridge, AC. Great modern room!

Main area of Weligama is about 25 min walk along a main busy road, but no problem if you walk along the beach or get a bike / Tuk Tuk

Chinthakka is an amazing host, super smiley and accommodating and made us feel at home. Great little quiet road, 5 min walk from the beach.

This was the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. The hotel is right by the beach, fantastic restaurants within walking distance and the room itself is spotless with everything you could want. Chinthaka and his family are ridiculously attentive and lovely. No request was too much and he went out of his way to help us with everything from whale watching to laundry. We stayed for the final leg of our trip for a week and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Great room close to town and the beach with good outdoor seating area. Owner very friendly and genuine. It was a delight for us both to stay at a place and not be bombarded with trip offers by the owner. He was just a very nice, friendly and helpful guy. We wanted a mosquito net for our bed and he got us one immediately. Turns out we didn't let any mozzies in anyway but it was there just in case. The place was ideal for us and we'd stay again if returning.

The lights on the street are very bright and shine through the curtains a bit at night.

The people at Temple Tree are amazing, we received a warm welcome, with a welcome drink even and help and tips through-out our stay. Location could also not be better.

We loved our stay at Temple Tree. We were welcomed with a coconut which was really sweet. The owners are really friendly and keen to help with whatever. Everything was really easy to reach (we rented a scooter which we can also recommend), it’s perfectly located next to Weligama beach where all the surf is happening and close to Midigama where we liked to hang out and swim at beautiful beaches. The room is very clean and big, bathrooms also very nice and modern :) 10/10 can recommend!

Only think was that if we wanted privacy we had to completely put the curtains on so inside is quite dark.

Compared to other accommodations this one is really good. A bit away from the Main Street so it’s quiet. Quiet A/C which I really appreciate. Close to shops and restaurants and beach. Table inside the room was great for some work to be done. Very nice and helpful owner.

Nothing but the small spiders but you have to bear in mind this is a tropical island .

It was a secluded calm heaven, since it was our honeymoon and this was our last stop in Sri Lanka we needed the calm atmosphere, The manager was super nice and helpful, couldn’t been any better.

A little bit outside from the centre

We enjoyed our stay at the Temple Tree a lot. Nice and comfortable rooms with a terrace which is perfect to sit in the evening. The room has a fan and also AC. There's also a small pretty garden with fishes in a pond. Every morning you get a flower on your table. Also the people there are so kind and helpfull with information about restaurant's, beaches, bus, surflesson.. They even offer a scooter. And it's very quite there.
