It is is described that the room comes with a private entrance, this is one of the reasons I chose the property. The rooms entrance staircase is located inside the hosts house. Sometimes, especially when coming back late, I felt as if I was disturbing the family, although I’m sure they didn’t mind. The bed in the room was very creaky, so much so that when I turned in the night on my first few nights it would wake me. But it’s something I soon got used to!

This property is in an ideal location in the heart of Talalla beach area and 2 minutes from the actual beach! I liked amount of private space that came with the booking. I loved the hot water for my shower (not always available in a rented room in Talalla). The hammock on the balcony was my favourite place to relax! The food made for me for breakfast was incredible! The hosts couldn’t do enough in an attempt to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Genuinely lovely people!!

Internet was a bit slow but this could be due to the weather confitions maybe as it was raining heavily at some point. There is no hot water if this is important for you. I only needed it when i was caught in the rain and needed a warm shower on my return..other than that when the outside is hot and sunny you appreciate the cold water :)

Small but very clean room with a small patio looking to the garden. You can watch monkeys, squirrels, birds. Very comfortable bed. Guesthouse is in a quiet location and 2 minutes walk to beautiful Talalla beach. Very friendly owners, very friendly locals. Nelka cooks delicious food and she let me watch her cooking as i wanted to learn how to cook the vegetable curry and dal. I ate almost all my meals there. There are no ATMs or money exchange facilities in the village so Lakshman gave me a ride on his motorbike to Matara to exchange money and look for an ayurvedic medicine I needed. The grandmother is also very sweet. Overall, if you are looking for an authentic Sri Lankan stay, this is the place. I felt like staying with relatives. Sad to leave.

Very nice people, and a good place to stay! 3 min walk from the beach. I know you'llbe tempted toneat in the beach, but you have to try her home-cooked food. It is delicious, best Pumpkin curry i ate! And awesome pancakes with fruit for breakfast 😊

I stayed here for 1 nights and it was a blast. The location is really good it is located on a really small street so it is really quiet and you can chill in the terrace watching the garden and relax. You can find a supermarket next door and a beautiful beach (thallala beach) in 2 minutes walking. The room is super clean and Nelca makes the best vegetable curry! Great location Everything! The bed, the comfort, the kindness of the owner The host received us with coffee and biscuits. He was friendly. It was one of the most clean rooms slept in during our trip to Sri Lanka- on a night budget. wifi is speed is very good . very beautiful place and very nice beach of srilanka

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a blast. The location is really good it is located on a really small street so it is really quiet and you can chill in the terrace watching the garden and relax. You can find a supermarket next door and a beautiful beach (thallala beach) in 2 minutes walking. You can also do day trips with the local bus or a scooter to other beaches close by. The breakfast was amazing (try the Hoppers to deep into the Sri Lankan food). The family is really welcoming and helpful. We felt like part of the family. We would definitely come there again. :)

We felt very welcoming! The room is super clean and Nelca makes the best vegetable curry! Great location, just a short walk from the amazing beach, where you can swim and enjoy the calmness. There is also a little supermarket right next door if you need anything.

I only stayed one night, but could have imagined staying longer. The room was small, but very clean, the bed was comfortable, with a mosquito net, there was storage space and a terrace with seating and a hammock. The hosts were super nice and the breakfast was rich and delicious!

Our lovely hosts who were so helpful and cooked the best food and the Dahl was the best I've ever had. The location 2 minutes walk to the beach was perfect too. Also the verandah and the fact we had the whole top floor . The monkeys and bird life were fabulous

We stayed three nights at Thalalla bnb. We received vip treatment by this lovely family, husband, wife and grandmother. Upon arrival you enter a lovely well maintained garden. We were immediately greeted with a fresh juice! We stayed in the room downstairs at the front of the house, overlooking the garden. This room has private bathroom and a terrace with table and chairs. The room was very clean and there is a mosquito net on the bed. For a small fee we opted for breakfast included. Nelca will cook you a fresh breakfast each morning. She will make you whatever you prefer. We opted for hoppers and they were plentiful and delicious. She also serves fresh fruit and fresh juice. A very generous breakfast! For a small price we also had dinner here every night. Nelca cooked us delicious rice and currys every night, absolutely fantastic food. We even wrote down her Dahl recipe! The bnb is well located one minute walk from Thalalla beach. From here we also visited other locations using the local buses. There is a small well kept village shop two doors along and we bought drinks and ice-creams every day from the lovely owners. We highly recommend you staying with this lovely family for an authentic taste of sri lankan hospitality. We felt very comfortable here and we thank our hosts very much. Don't miss out, book your stay here!

Location is great. 5 minute on walk on to beach. Breakfast is grate on this place. Staf is helping on any time to any problems. Owner is very good man. I living room is comfortable. Bathroom is clean.

The host were very kind and helpful. the bathroom was not in the room though it’s more luxury having the whole floor for myself where I had a patio and a fridge. I had a absolutely delicious meals for dinner and breakfast.

Just 2 minutes to beach. Very clean and nice balcony. Hot water work well. The breakfast is nice. Yhe onwer is kind and helpful. Can do landry and hire scooter here with reasonable price.

Super sweet family always there to help you out with whatever you need. The place is located near by a beautiful quiet beach. There’s not much to do around the area and not really any restaurants but it’s easy to grab a Tuktuk and drive 25 min to one of the nearby towns. Good value for money, nothing fancy just simple.

Bed was little bit too small for tall people.

Place was really chill and the welcoming was really warm. Family at the place took good care of us and made sure we had everything okay. There was no other visitors, so we had whole upstrairs for two of us with the frige. Beautiful beach was really near. We took good offer with the breakfast included and it was worth it.

I have no idea why in Sri Lanka they make holes above the windows and door. I couldn't sleep well because i could hear everything that happened outside.

I loved the village feeling, the wonderful hospitality of the staff and the location.
