Extremely moldy walls,moldy smell everywhere ,especially on the pillows. Pillowcase looked dirty. Seriously need a repaint and to eliminate mold

Main reception has nice design, pool is cute. Otherwise the room of cabanas was very run down.Bathroom was good.

We didn’t manage to get hot water but as it was 34 degrees it wasn’t too much of an issue. WiFi was patchy.

The manager was really helpful and greeted us with a very welcome cool drink when we arrived. The location is perfect, very peaceful and only 5 min walk to Food City. The bungalow was very spacious with 2 large beds with very white sheets. The beds were very comfortable . The villa was very clean with a fridge, air con, TV and bottled water provided. The bathroom was huge with an overhead shower.

unfortunately, the place is a little run down, but after two years of no income due to corona, you will find that in most remote hotels on the island.

Nice small lodges and close to the temple and the city. the owner is super friendly and showed us around with his Tuktuk.

We liked a pool which was right in front of our cabin. Brekfast was okay, staff was very helpful.

The pool was ok but need to be cleaned properly. The dinner was bit expensive comparing to the prices outside and quality of food.

The owner Daniel was nice and friendly, the place is quite and peaceful with birds sound surrounding you.

Morning coffee was a bit more expensive, than in most of the places I stayed, but it came as room service.

I loved that the place is actually 'in the nature', the property pool is a few meters away from a little stream. They also have their own big lizard, LISA, who is super cool and relaxed, and can sunbath with you for hours without moving an inch. :) There were a lot of fireflies in the garden as well. :) The staff was really kind and nice, they really helped me out if I needed help regarding getting tuktuks or information on bus schedules - although last day the tuktuk driver might have misunderstood them, and took me and my luggage to the wrong bus station accidentally... :) Dambulla is a good base, if you want to see Sigiriya, and the ancient cities of the Sri Lankan cultural triangle, and if you do not want to change your location for every night. It is pretty easy to move around from here. And if you have a peaceful place with nice, big and quiet rooms, it is a bonus indeed.

Not located where booking shows it. Down 2 dark roads away from main road. I had to get a tuk tuk for everything.

Beautiful hotel with a very helpful owner. He arranged transportation for me to get around & was extremely helpful with information.

The host/Manager was extremely helpful. He helped me with so much things. He arranged Safari Tour to Hurulu Eco Park which was really good experience, he gave me tips for other tours (i.e. Sigirya, Anuradhapura, Dambulla Rock temple) which i have done from there. He was the best host on my travelling ! Thank you, again. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable beds. The pool was perfect, great size and so refreshing. Overall a fantastic experience and i would 100% book it again.

An issue with the electric in our room, kept tripping. We were offered a different room by the host but we didn't think that was necessary. The cabins are a little off the beaten track to go for a wander into dambulla. You'd need a tuk tuk if you wanted to head into town for food etc.

The host was a lovely man and explained that they had only been open for 3 weeks after being closed for nearly 2 years due to covid. Breakfast was fine, but because tourists were few, that was the only meal available. The pool was refreshing but there were a few resident frogs who still hadn't vacated the area! The room was basic and functional. The host caught some river fish and cooked them for us, they were really tasty! We were the only tourists there!

I stayed for 4 days to make daytrips to Sigirya etc and enjoyed every Minute in the hotel. The owner is really nice and helped with organizing The trips and buses. Plus he was always there for a chat. The Pool was really good after a long day sightseeing.

SOMETHING TERRIBLE! DISGUSTING CONDITIONS! Run as far away from this place as possible. We booked this place for 2 nights. The first night there was a frog in the room. A very nice gentleman from the staff kicked her out of the room. Suddenly, more and more frogs started appearing in our room. There was no staff, so we had to catch them ourselves. The frogs were entering the room through the shower drain and under the door. The next day they changed our room to an even worse one. Water was leaking from the toilet (disgusting!), there was mold on the walls, no hot water and no Wi-Fi. The whole room stank, the bedding was disgustingly dirty. Suddenly in the evening we saw a cockroach. There was no staff, so we had to catch it ourselves. At that moment, another frog jumped out and that was a sign that it was time to run away from this place. In the middle of the night, in a strange place, we had to pack up and look for a new hotel. The conditions were inhumane. After reporting the situation to Booking.com, we were offered a refund for a night spent in another hotel. However, they accused us of spoiling the pool cover, which they supposedly informed us about, but it was a complete lie. ULTIMATELY, WE DID NOT GET A REFUND DESPITE MANY NOTIFICATIONS, and the whole situation caused us a lot of stress and fear. Shameless scammers! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
