Amazing little hideaway in the mountains above Ella, hammocks with a view and an incredibly helpful host. Little bar and restaurant, slow and easy pace. Highly recommend.

Located out of the city centre, yet accessible with a tuktuk or a bus. Nice room with private bathroom, amazing outside space with hammocks and such a beautiful view. You can also start hiking directly from there. The owners were super friendly and made very good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Super nice host. Made very delicious breakfast each morning. They have a small restaurant just next to the Apartment. The view into the valley is gorgeous from 2 sides. Good opportunity to put the hammock between the trees on the other side of the upper street. I booked it to be alone and have my space without distortion. That worked out here. So if you do not have big claims for luxury I would definitely recommend this place.

Lovely hostel in the hills over Ella. The view was superb. Staff was incredible and helped us out with everything we needed. It has a great outdoor terrace. We had a great freshly made Sri Lankan breakfast. If you’re looking for a calm idyllic spot in the mountains this is for you! Thank you we’d come back anytime! ☺️☺️

I wish I could rate it higher than 10. The place is located in a nice nature corner, overlooking hills covered with tea plantations. The owner absolutely goes out of his way to help you in every way imaginable. Food is great. Book right now, don't think twice!

Amazing location of the property in terms of the view. It is a bit far from Ella centre (1 hour+ walk and you can get a bus but they are very irregular!). It is close enough to nine arches bridge and little Adams peak if you enjoy walking (40 mins). The owner is lovely and helpful and he organised transport to the train station for us. He also helped us organise a bike. Little Luna the dog will greet you every time he sees you and walk you all the way to the main road.

We were really happy to find this wonderful little place and to have such a warm and helpful host as Lahiru (who is an excellent chef btw). The location is a bit outside of ella which made the stay more calm and the view was breath taking. I can really recommend.

It’s a little far outside Ella town (close to Nine Arch Bridge however). Bathroom is pretty basic, too.

Lahiru is one of the friendliest hosts I’ve ever met! He’s very passionate about this place and is helping a lot with hikes and other activities. Breakfast was delicious! Nice terrace, rooms are rather basic.

Amazing terrace and the landlord was really really nice. It’s a little bit outside of Ella but u can take the bus or better rent a scooter for 7€ a day it’s totally worth it. Thanks so much!

We like the hospitality, the kindness of the hosts, they are very helpfull and very attentive to their customers. The place is awesome with a wonderful view. It is in the mountain, in the nature, you have a lot of walks possible, and you have tea trees everywhere. You can walk to reach some beautiful places around. It is a wonderful place you can see animals and hear the birds. The food is the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. Honestly it would be a mistake to not taste it. Thank you for everything it was much more than expected.

As mentioned above and the fact that it’s about eight km out of town.

We were collected at the station by Lahiru. He wished us off in his Tuk tuk to his property Hostel 1964. It’s beautiful and rustic. This is the sort of accommodation we love. Nothing fancy but surrounded by tea plantations and palm trees and dense vegetation. Our room is comfortable and has an on suit bathroom. Lahiru is fanatical about cleanliness and sweeps and wipes everyday. He is a great cook and has prepared breakfast and dinner for us on a number of occasions. We loved it so much here we are extending our stay.

The host was so friendly and helpful. We had noodles for dinner and it was exceptional. Close to Little Adam’s Peak, Nine Arch Bridge and relatively close to the town of Ella
