The breakfast is amazing, I really love the cooking here, guaranteeing you won't want to go out to eat again; the room is spacious and quiet, with a fantastic balcony offering the best mountain views; the homestay couple is very polite and helpful, showing me how to use all the facilities in the room.

The hosts were very accommodating with help getting in and out of Kandy, whilst also providing great conversations about the local area and lives. Good food and good beds, with lovely balcony views. Would highly recommend a stay here for a memorable experience.

We should have stayed longer

We loved every bit of our stay at Kushanas and his wife’s house. The place is like described a little outside the hectic city but still super close by. An oasis with lots of trees, palms and monkeys. They did everything to make us happy. When we arrived, they organized a last minute appointment for a traditional ayurvedic massage and drove us there. They immediately helped us plan our stay based on our interests. If you’d like, you can have an home made dinner- really recommend it. Also the breakfast was outstanding. The best we had so far in Sri Lanka. we had an awesome time, interesting talks and got lots of great recommendations !!!

Kushana and Poornima will make you feel like family right away. Kushana was so kind to pick me up from the train station, and then they made me some lunch. The room was huge, with a private bathroom, and the views from the private terrace are BEAUTIFUL! They gave me the best tips about what to do around Kandy, and the next day Kushana drove me and a couple other guests to a tea plantation, an ayurvedic town and the botanical gardens. On my last day, Kushana gave me a private tour to Sigiriya and Dambulla. It’s quite a long drive, but we had so much fun talking non stop and joking! Breakfast is delicious, and i also had dinner a couple times there, also very good! As a solo female traveler, i highly appreciate how much they cared about me and my safety. Kushana, Poornima, thank you for being a home away from home! I hope to be back soon!

Kushana was an amazing host. The property was super nice. Room had everything we needed. It was super clean and the balcony was amazing. We also eat the breakfasts and dinners at the stay and everything was delicious. Kushana also came to pick us up and drop us at the train station. We also did a tour for us and it was really great. Would recommend the stay here!

We had an amazing stay! The room is nicely decorated, spacious and the bed is comfortable. We enjoyed the view and the nature around, it was so calm compared to the busy city. The hosts are amazing, so helpful and friendly, we had some good chats and got nice recommendations of activities in the city.

Everything was perfect: very spacious room with a great view, amazing food provided, nice location away from the busy city centre and the most important: great hosts! We really enjoyed our stay in Kandy thanks to Kushana and his wife (plus three cute cats :) ). We really feel like we made friends there :) plus we got great recommendations of places to visit in Kandy. It's one of the best places we stayed during our trip, so I won't hesitate to book it again, if I have a chance!

We absolutely loved the hospitality of Kushana and his wife. They will help you with everything and feed you with amazing local food. We loved the location of the place which was a little outside of the busy Kandy city centre. The view from our balcony was just amazing. The room is spacious and has everything you need, comfortable bed, air conditioning and clean bathroom. We absolutely enjoyed every second of our stay. Room with balcony and scenic view. Clean and comfortable. Tasty and huge breakfast. Kushana, the owner picked me up from the bus station. Location 3km outside of Kandy in an area with villas. Tuktuk to Kandy is about 300 Rupies. Ask Kushana for Pickme App to call tuktuk avoiding overpriced fares. Would come again..

We loved our time with Kushan and his family! They really welcome you into their home and are amazing hosts. Before our stay at The Comfort, neither my partner of I had done a homestay and were unsure on what to expect, but it was certainly worth it. The food was superb, and although a homestay, the rooms were separate from main building so we still had plenty of our own space! Our room was huge with a beautiful view and it was amazing to wake up to such beautiful birdsong. Kushan was an excellent host, not only before we arrived, but he kept in touch after providing contacts and information to make sure we had the best trip not just in Kandy.Kushan was also willing to drive us wherever we needed to go! Amazing! If you're nervous about a home stay, then don't be! The family were extremely helpful which was hugely appreciated in the bustling city of Kandy. We would stay again in the future ! See ypu next time!!

Great homestay in a quiet part of Kandy. Room was clean and comfortable with a view of the green. Hosts were very nice and helpful, gave me valuable advice to visit interesting spices farm and a tea factory. I fully recommend to stay here.

Nothing, we had our own tuk for transport as walking here from town might be a bit of a challenge, but you can arrange collection, Kushan answered our WhatsApp messages very quickly.

Lovely clean, cosy and comfortable rooms, nice hot shower, good AC. Location is outside of the busy main city centre so quiet and a lovely view across the green valley to wake up to. Gated driveway ideal for keeping bikes/tuk tuk overnight. We felt very welcome and would have stayed longer if we had time, the hosts are very friendly, and passionate about sharing the best of their country. The home cooking was amazing, the included breakfast with hoppers, pani pol coconut pancakes and fruit was enough to keep us going all day. We would happily stay again. Kushan will happily take you on tours of local (and further away) sights. The families excellent English made it possible to have some good chats about Sri Lanka, our trip and answer any odd questions we had! A great place to stay in a busy city with lots of guesthouse options, we were so lucky to find this place.

Owner acted as our personal driver and took us on two long day trips, stopping and waiting while we visited lots of attractions. Gave useful advice on places to see and the rest of our trip.
