We’ve stayed one night at the countryside for the safari, the room was big and clean, with good equipment. The host was very helpful and friendly, arranging the safari and the car/tuktuk if you need. He also offer spa arrangements, if needed. The location is great, we enjoyed the pool in the afternoon. The garden of the countryside is very pretty, the host gave us some fruits from its own garden. We had a Sri Lankan diner at the hotel, it was one of the best we’ve had during our stay in Sri Lanka. The breakfast was very good and really generous. We both recommend this place.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Staff were fantastic and provided everything we needed (including the safari). The room was bigger and better than the photos. The food was delicious, dinners were a treat. The pool was a nice touch also and we got to see some beautiful fireflies while swimming at night. Highly recommend staying here.

Basic accommodation but not expensive.

The pool is the best part of this hotel, it's super clean and large. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The manager helped us to order a take away as we arrived too late to order dinner. Very close to the entrance to the park.

Amazing staff that went above and beyond. I did safari with them and was priced very fairly. The swimming pool was lovely and rooms were clean and spacious. The shower was excellent too. They even helped arrange a takeaway at night to get dinner.

There is a power generator that is on when the power is off. And it is very loud.

The swimming pool, the garden, the team, and food were great. Also, the safari organised by the hotel was exceptional.

It was the best lodging of our 3 week sri lanka trip. beautiful large unit with a comfortable bed and more than a sheet to cover with. Beautiful and relaxing pool and delicious meals. Breakfast was twice as much as we could eat... egg hoppers, fresh fruit, vegetable samosas, crepes filled with ginger coconut, coffee and tea. The Elephant transit center was a real highlight and just a 15 minute walk away. The friendly staff organized a nice early morning safari with coffee and bananas before and breakfast after.

The room itself was clean but there was an ant problem in the bathroom. Breakfast was too Sri Lankan for us. Very limited if you have any dietary requirements.

Great location, beautiful and calm surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful manager and staff ever, lovely and great fist impression of hotel. Everything about hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, rooms with excellent service. Food was great and great value of money. I was pleased with my stay and hope to be back for a longer visit in future.

A bit of an ant problem, but I guess that is quite common.

Nice room, comfortable bed, large pool, and helpful staff. The breakfast was very tasty, especially for the price of the room. If you have the time to relax by the pool, you will have the chance to admire some very beautiful birds that come to take a dip or just to stay in the shadow.

This is a great location for Udawalawe National Park. The countryside villas are basic but clean and comfortable and very good value for money. They have a fridge, air con and a safe. The swimming pool in the garden is a welcome touch and has sun loungers around it. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. They will arrange transport to the park for the safari. We had a private safari in the afternoon which we really enjoyed despite getting caught in a thunder storm. If you don't want the evening meal there, nearby is a nice restaurant called the Hungary Monkey, which is also next to the elephant rehabilitation centre. We enjoyed our night there!

Safari tour booked for 2 persons, only 1 pair of binoculars were supplied and they were faulty. However it turned out we didn't need them anyway.

Really helpful stuff, Late check in after 9pm was provided. Stuff brought us some delicious food from the local store late at night. (When everything was closed for us) Big, delicious breakfast. Spacious swimming pool. Clean room with hot water. Large double bed.

We had a very nice stay at the country side. The rooms are very spacious, simple and comfortable. The pool is big and nice. Location was very convenient to do an early morning safari that the hotel arranged for us. We only stayed one night and could have stayed more there to relax. The staff is very nice as well.

The staff was very professional, kind and funny. We always enjoyed talking with them and they explained us a lot about the garden, spices and the animals. The garden was a little bit like a zoo with many birds, giant squirrels, mongoose and other visitors. Furthermore a very comfortable bed and the cooking was brilliant.
