The hotel The Den23 with its manager Felix is simply sensational. He helps with everything, be it adapters for charging, sim cards, transfers. Felix is such a wonderful host, always friendly always helpful. Likewise every member of staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel is well equipped, the breakfast is delicious, we had the Sri Lankan breakfast. The roof terrace has a marvellous view of the Lotus Tower. We felt at home from minute 1 and when we are back in Sri Lanka we will definitely come back. 5 stars + Jörg & Deniz

Nice and very clean place with an amazing roof terrace in a quiet part of town. All main sights are easily accessible by tuk tuk or walking. Stuff is amazing, very helpful and nice. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a roof terrace with a beautiful view of the city. There is also a kitchen you can use by yourself, or you have an option for breakfast which was very tasty (both, continental and Sri Lankan). The hotel staff is super friendly, especially the manager – Mr. Felix who will help you with anything you need and give you useful advice (in fluent English) if you are a first-time visitor to Sri Lanka.

The Host Felix went above and beyond to make us feel at home. He organized everything and even special requests were no problems at all. We hab a late checkout and extra blankets. The breakfast was very good I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Colombo! Thank you very much, Felix 🙏

We chose this stay based on reviews, and are so glad we did. Felix, the manager, is the heart and soul of Den 23 and he goes above and beyond to make sure guests' trips are the best they can be. Felix gave our kids sparklers and marbles for Christmas, and gave us lots of tips and advice. The other staff work hard to keep the place clean and keep the guests well-fed. We really enjoyed our breakfasts and dinner here on the amazing rooftop patio, with the best view of the lotus tower. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with cool AC and hot showers. Look no further for the best place to begin or end your Sri Lanka adventure.

First place that has a wifi limit 😬

A bit pricy for a typical backpacker budget but very worth the money. Felix is such a great host and has so many things to offer during our stay in Colombo. The place was amazing, felt like it was a nice hotel. Clean rooms, with towel, hot water, AC and tv. Comfortable bed. There’s also free-to-use kitchen, lounge area and a wonderful rooftop. Very kind staff too, offered us cold drinks upon arrival. Accepts credit cards too

There is nothing I didn't particularly like. I would appreciate one more set of towels and it would have been nice if the internet was available also on the rooftop not just on our floor/room.

In the first place the location was super convenient, second the hotel owner Felix was an especially welcoming host who made us feel great and shared many tips about the city and facts about Sri Lanka. Finally, the rooftop is the best feature overlooking the high-rise skyline of Colombo and offering privacy and comfort.

The location is very practical if you want to be near the station, but the area around it is not the nicest in Colombo. It’s very easy to take a tuktuk out to the nicer parts though.

Spacious, clean rooms. Incredible rooftop with an AC room that is stocked with games, yoga mats and art materials. Really lovely owner/manager Felix, who went out of his way to make sure that our stay was enjoyable.

Lovely modern and clean. The staff was so friendly and made you feel like a family member. Felix has got to be the best host ever!!! He made me a special celebration for my birthday and also took time to help me rearrange my travel plans so I could experience Sri Lankan in the best way. His hotel is a gem!

We dont even know how to put this in words. First of all; place was spoltless, awesome, comfty beds, good AC, great views, kitchen was awesome, rooftopterass, 🥰 everything about the place was so great!! But The most important thing; The hospitality of the stuff, always smiling and welcoming!! And Felix, The manager, well we actually made eternal friends wit him🙏🥰. Not only was he giving crusial information and help, he was The most welcoming host ever and we clicked so well!! So we were spending several hours with Felix, laughing and meeting other travelleres aswell. We were spending time together with others and Felix at the rooftop, enjoying and storytelling many nights. Need to say, Felix The manager is such a warmhearted, giving cheerful, Honest AMD humble guy, and he and the stuff IS the heart of Den23! 🥰🙏☺️So much looking forward to meet again!!!
