Absolutely nothing. Some might say the lack of nearby food options, but the food at the hotel is excellent. Otherwise eat out.

The location/view from the pool was exceptionally beautiful. The house and room extremely comfortable and very clean. Very peaceful and wonderful food. The breakfast was delicious and far more than we could eat. Lovely family. Helped with our transport and a day out.

When you travel as much as I do, the place that you remember......becomes important. But when you not only remember, but also miss...than you have found a place you wish to come back. When you take a selfie with the workers, or when you sleep until late, because you have silence.....or when you expect to eat something special they do.....then you know you have a place that is part of your life experience. The Grove became one of those places: Where I have memories, where I want to come back, where I miss it. And where I had a spectacular time.

The grove is in an absolutely stunning location, the rooms are so clean and comfy. The view of the sunset from our room was amazing. All the staff were extra friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Upon arrival we were given fresh fruit juice which was a lovely touch!

A bit high price for this area of Sri Lanka And notify your tuk tuk driver that the road is a bit complicated in the end, that he will not charge you extra after.

You feel like you're in a castle. The hotel is very beautiful. It's difficult to get there, but the whole place was booked. Food at the hotel is not expensive, don't worry to find a restaurant, you don't need. Be sure to take advantage of the pool.

I had an awesome time at The Grove. The host Piyal and his wife made my stay, as they were extremely welcoming and helped out with every request I had. They have a beautiful home, and as I first thought it could be a bit too remote, it actually turned out into something great as you escape the loud city of Kandy with only a 30 min ride into the mountains. Having breakfast with an amazing view was my highlight in the morning, and everything that was served from breakfast to dinner was made with love. I did a day trip to Sigiriya which also Piyal helped me in organizing with. Thanks for the lovely stay! I'll come back if I travel to Sri Lanka again!

We had a lovely overnight stay at The Grove. The rooms are very spacious with huge comfortable beds and everything is spotlessly clean. The property is at the top of a hill with fabulous views. The owner, Piyal, was very attentive and extremely helpful. Together with his great team, everyone went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The only potential downside is the distance from Kandy town, being 16km and a 40 min drive away However, if you want a quiet, secluded place to stay, up in the mountains, then The Grove is ideal.

One of the best hotels we stayed, such a beautifully designed and squeaky clean property, the rooms are super comfortable, we spent the day swimming at the infinity pool with breathtaking views, and had super tasty breakfast and dinner on the balcony. The family owners are very friendly and speak well English. The location is on a hill outside of Kandy, with views over nature and away from the noise and fumes of the city. We stayed with two small children and loved this serene and homely place. They could easily charge double the price, fantastic value for money.

I had such a great time with Piyal and his family. The accommodation is great, the rooms clean and spacious, you get the most delicious tea on the whole island in the morning and the view is just fantastic. Anyone who wants peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy is in just the right place here. Apart from the wind and nature, you hear nothing up here. During the day you can relax by the pool or sip tea and read a book on the small terrace. In the evening and at lunchtime, you can choose from a small menu of food. Piyal always had an open ear during my wonderful 3 days and helped me wherever he could. Even after I had already left, he was very helpful.

The entry road at the very end is really steep, we had a horrible car with a really low suspension and we made it without any problems... but it is not for faint-hearted or bad drivers.

Everything ! Great owners, very helpful ! They arranged a visit at a car mechanic for us. Beautiful place , lovely views, great staff, great food and the pool ! If you have a chance stay more than for 1 night and enjoy beutiful views and the pool. Relax !

Everything was amazing. The place, the house, the rooms, the view from everywhere on the property and especially from the roof, the breakfast is so good and the quiet pool next door overlooking mountains and jungle is perfect around sunset. But the best was the people there. Piyal and his wife makes this place so warm and unique, you feel the love they feel for and put into this place and they welcome you like family. I left with a full heart. Thank you.
