All Good..

They are so Good for hosting the guests. Very well maintained with air-conditioned and clean bed sheets and clean toilets. They discourage using toilet paper to save the environment. A good kitchen set-up for budget travelers and who love to do cooking by themselves. Caretakers are so nice to the guests. Wifi is good and can be used almost everywhere. Dining facilities, washing machines and a nice environment to move around and party.

I usually stay in dormitories, but they were full.... So I got an elegant single room with a king size bed... If you want to luxury of a hotel with the wonderful.vibe of an hostel I would try this option. Otherwise the dormitories are great. And the staff really is incredibly friendly. The places immaculately clean One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at.

It is really hot in the dorms without AC. Fortunately the room with AC had a free bed for my second night and I moved in. 🙏🏻

The wifi doesn’t work well in the upstairs rooms. There are no hangers inside the shower cabinets to hang up your clothes and nothing to put your shampoo on. The door in my room squeaked quite a bit when someone opened it which woke me up whenever someone left or entered the room. It would be great if these things could be fixed.

They lock the hostel at night. When you're out late, you need to wake somebody up in order to be let in.

Clean room, AC and a fan (both worked perfectly fine), reliable and fast wifi. Cold water for free.

Absolutely nothing. Everything was beyond criticism.

The hostel is situated in an excellent location- close proximity to the beach, the city center and the Galle Matara main road. Everything was provided even the filtered water, the kitchen with all its utensils. The staff were friendly and caring. specially Mr. Susantha They always took an extra effort to maintain cleanliness. The washroom was the cleanest of all I've visited. I can therefore recommend it to any type of traveller to this excellent place. Keep it up and hats off to the owner and the staff.

I liked everything but the bathrooms. The showers are too open and there is no space to hang your clothes, so that you have to leave the shower to dress. That's not very comfortable. No warm water but if the weather is hot it's not a problem.

Our New Year's trip was nothing short of amazing, thanks to the warm welcome we received from the staff at "The Hostel. From the moment we arrived, Manager "Mangeew" made us feel right at home, providing us with fantastic recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area. The staff's friendliness and excellent service stood out, making our stay truly enjoyable. The property caters to both solo adventurers and group travelers, offering a vibrant Hostel Vibe. Due to its popularity in the area, it's advisable to book in advance, as securing consecutive days might be a bit challenging. The prices were reasonable, with options for both AC and non-AC rooms. For those eager to explore the surroundings, the property provides affordable bike rentals, a fantastic way to navigate the area. However, the nearby beaches are also within walking distance, making it convenient for those who prefer a leisurely stroll. Overall, our experience at The Hostel was delightful, and we highly recommend it to fellow travelers looking for a welcoming atmosphere, reasonable prices, and convenient options for exploring the beautiful surroundings.

No toilet paper and they do have cockroach issue but not related to the cleaning, it's mord about the wild area around. Not a big deal but they should have spray all around every night. Only happened in the bathroom area during the night. Not on rooms.

This is the perfect hostel! I came here during off season in Mirissa and they were technically closed. They still decided to leave my booking and let me stay in the Hostel. Not only did they upgrade my room from a dorm to a private room for the same price but they made sure there was staff there at all times. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They helped me with everything and made sure I felt right at home. There’s a kitchen and filtered water free of charge available! The hostel is very clean, modern and the location is just perfect, in walking distance to shops, grocery stores, the beach, restaurants and everything else you need. Great value for money and I can’t recommend this place enough!

The bed sheets were a bit too small for the beds therefore wouldn't tuck under and moved around/slipped off in the night. Honestly not something that would stop me staying there again but a small thing that could be fixed easily for a better night's sleep. Also we were not given a room key so the rooms were always open. The owner asked me what improvements he could make when I left as its a relatively new hostel so I think he is still working to make it even better :)

Nice hostel, it was clean and tidy. Indoor and outdoor kitchen. Would recommend booking the aircon as it gets quite hot. Didnt have many other people staying while we were there but it will be a really nice vibe in the busy season I imagine. Good location for the town and the beach.
