Bathroom could do with a mat as it’s very slippy when wet haha!

The aesthetic, the kitchen, the breakfast, the outside tables, the spacious desk, a ton of small details added that made us feel so at home.

Breakfast available only 8-10 which is not ideal if you want to leave early. 15min to the beach, in the night time better take tuk tuk to come back, but it’s cheap

Modern and clean place, good internet connection. Light breakfast, laundry option

The location. It is a 15min walk from the main road and the streets are very dark. As a single traveler I would recommend to take a Tuktuk.

    Room was clean and spacious.

WiFi is slow, but seems like it slow everywhere.

The hotel placed 3 min on a scooter from a sea side in a calm place. We like the location. The administrator was very nice, help us with everything we need. The room is clean and matches the photos. The breakfast is very tasty. Recommend this place.

The property is in a very quiet area with no noise from the street, still close to Weligama beach. Large room and bathroom, very functional and comfortable. The light breakfast served in the common balcony was perfect to start the day,

Walls are thin. My neighbors in the other room came home at 3am a few nights and it was very loud but usually this won’t happen to you. I personally enjoyed walking a bit so the location was great for me. Just notice that you need to walk a bit or take a tuk tuk to get to weligama main road/beach.

The Native was one of my favourite stays in Sri Lanka and it had the best WiFi. I was able to do zoom meetings without any problem. Room was clean, spacious and nice. I love the minimalistic style. Bed was comfy. AC worked well. Little kitchen with tea, coffee and a fridge. The staff (for breakfast and check out) was super friendly. I was able to leave my luggage after check out. I felt very safe and happy at the Native. I also liked all the recommendations Diana gave me before arrival. Towels and beach towels and water refill were also super nice. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Weligama!

Maybe the only thing is breakfast. You don't have the opportunity to choose for a Sri Lankan breakfast. Then again, the toasted bread we got here was the best we had in whole Sri Lanka. Nice thick slices!

The lovely way you are welcomed in your room (it feels very personal). The spaciousness of the room, the quietness and the way the room is decorated. Also a great shower. A wonderful place to stay. We sure would go here again!

The Native is a peaceful and calm oasis, a beautiful and well-maintained building with wonderful interior design. It is a short 10 min walk from the main street and the beach. The host is so warm and friendly, so is her husband and the staff. The rooms are spacious with a large comfortable bed and hot water shower. A varied super tasty breakfast is served every morning and laundry service is available on site! We absolutely loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone looking for an accommodation in Weligama! 🌞

It's slightly inland but that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you've got a scooter, it might be better because it's quieter. Beach areas are generally loud and crowded.

The Native is clean, quiet and very tastefully decorated. Diana is super approachable and helpful. She even shared a list of recommendations for Weligama and surrounding beaches. The rooms are spacious and very comfy. And the breakfast is yum. We had a lovely stay!

We had a fabulous stay at Native. We spend 10 nights and it was the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka so far. Diana is super helpful, with a lot of information regarding things to do in Weli and nearby. The property location for us was just perfect, the room and bathroom are specious and very clean. Nice common areas and a really nice breakfast too, you have a super clean kitchen that you can use if you want. Recommend this property 100% 🙂

    Nothing at all :)

The property has simple but tastefully done interiors. Lots of sunlight and trees around you. Loved that this room and the property itself was cool and breezy, even when it was hot outside. I actually just cancelled my day plans one day and stayed indoors :) Diana, the owner, is thoughtful and communicative. Before checking in, she shared recommendations for things to do around the area, places to eat, and also numbers of reliable Tuk drivers that I did use and was super happy with. She also arranged for an extension for my charger, as the ones in my room didn’t suit my pin type. Breakfast made good too. loved that coffee was French press and of better consistency than other coffees I’ve had at BNBs in SL.

Such a wonderful stay at this hidden gem in Weligama! The rooms were super comfortable, spacious and felt like home. They had lots of natural light and a desk which is perfect for those traveler’s working online. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the owners are so lovely! The guest house is just a short ride to the beach, but away from the busy main roads so it’s super peaceful. There are lots of common areas to chill in too which is great! Can’t wait to go back - 10/10 recommend! 🤩

The building was brand new, super clean and very lovely decorated which created an instant homey feeling. The rooms are bright and spacious. The hosts were incredibly friendly and not shy to share their local tips for about anything we wanted. The breakfast was home cooked and very delicious, we absolutely loved it. In addition, you could use the very well equipped kitchen if you wanted to cook yourself which might be a very pleasant feature especially for long-term travellers. Would 100% come back to enjoy the peace and quiet we found here!

The accommodation is rather impersonal compared to all the other hotels we have stayed in, as there is a self-check-in and you don't get to see the owners. Two ladies serve breakfast, but don't understand much English. You can't choose anything at breakfast, everyone gets the same thing. The portions could be bigger. Our bathrooms are a bit run down (e.g. loose taps,...) and could do with a little freshening up.

Large spacious rooms with balcony which were clean and had working air conditioning. Quiet secluded location, which means you walk about 15-20 minutes to the beach. Breakfast is served at the accommodation

Just that the noise comes through in the room since the floors are shared between other guests.

The room was comfortable, the washroom was clean. Breakfast was also good for the price. Diana was helpful and helped us plan our day trips. The house is a bit far from the main beach but at a nice accessible distance.

You can hear alot of noise in the room e.g. People moving chairs, doing the washing up, doors closing, people talking. I think the place isn't well soundproofed and the noise echoes. You can also hear the street outside inside the room and on the balcony. So it's not a very relaxing place to be. Maybe bring some earplugs if you are a sensitive sleeper. It's not a problem in the night, but you can hear the beeping of cars and engines in the morning It was also a bit unusual to not be met by anyone when we arrived. We only met the owner after 2 nights of being there. So it felt quite impersonal. But maybe I have just been really lucky with friendly hosts at our other stays in sri lanka.

The room is very clean and airy. Very good and quiet Aircon. Modern and well decorated. Breakfast was OK. Its not a big breakfast like many other places, but maybe that's good for the waistline.
