There are some ants and cocroaches in the house, but small quantity, not a big problem.

Nice place, out from noisy road and railway, but still close to city center. Spacious and well-equipped apartment. Inverter ACs, ceiling fans, big fridge. Hot water is hot (heated by electricity, not by sun). Internet is optical and quite fast. Working areas for 2-3 people (small table in the bedroom and very big table in the dining room). Good parking place inside thecterritory, for 2 cars.

the location was a bit on the side with an amazing garden that we got access to. the staff is amazing, cooked good food and helped us out with everything we neede, taxis, motorbikes, tuk tuk you name it they helped us. would 300% come back here.

Quiet place with nice green garden, near the town and beach, best to have a motorbike or you can walk/take tuk-tuk. Room is spacious with fridge, A/C, sitting area, fully equipped. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Owners were nice, help with everything 😊

Wonderful! Thank you very much Sujeewa and Lakshmani! It became my second home. There is everything you need for a comfortable life. Long distance didn't bother me, I love hiking. Beautiful garden and surroundings. There are many shops on the way home. Good fishing point. I advise you to stay here and stay longer.

This place is a gem. A sanctuary of calm from the hustle and bustle of what is a very busy town. With a beautiful terrace and garden to return to and watch butterflies and listen to the local Peacocks. It is a little tucked away but in my opinion all the better for it. Being a 15 minute walk or a 5 min tuk tuk ride into the centre of things. The room was enormous 2 double beds. A big bathroom, with a washing machine which was available for my use. The bedroom had AC as well as a fan. Also a large fridge for guests in the bedroom. Traditional Sri lankan breakfast and dinner are available to pre- order and are delicious. What really makes this place stand out for me are the family who own it and host your stay. They are so kind and generous with their time and help. I learnt so much about life in Sri Lanka by talking to Sujee for which I am very grateful. Great place to stay and was sad to leave, would definitely return if in Sri Lanka again...

The confirmation from Booking said that breakfast was included in the price, but it wasn't! The cleaning of the room was not perfect when we arrived, but that can be due to that we asked for an earlier check-in, which gave them too little time for cleaning from the guests before us.

This is a very cosy home stay in a calm area away from the noisy and hectic town of Weligama. We stayed here five nights in the "Studio Deluxe Dubble" room. The host couple is extraordinary nice and easy to communicate with. They serve a very tasty and rich Sri Lankan breakfast. We also ordered dinner from them a few times, which was also super delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan food. The AC is effective and quite and it was so very good for us to have access to a washing machine! The little kitchen has basic equipment so it is possible to cook simplier dishes by yourself. The bed is big and comfy. The outdoor area and garden is very nice and peaceful with lots of birds and squirrels (and even a mungo we saw tvice). We also liked the possibility to take a nice 3-4 km walk in rural surroundings to reach natural beaches, like the "Jungle Beach".

Windows could use a mosquito mesh so one does not need to use the AC so much.

The Green is located in a quiet neighbourhood (30 min walk from surf beach, 15 min from train station), and has a beautiful garden, and a nice terrace to chill on. The washing machine is easy to use and a dry rack is provided. Perfect if you are longer in Sri Lanka and want to wash your clothes. The host couple Sujeewa and Lakshmi are really friendly and helpful, and speak good English (which is not the case in all homestays). We felt very welcome there :) There is a dedicated mobile internet box (provider Dialog) for every room, so you could even do the occasional video call. Be aware that the family room has no kitchenette (but a large fridge). We were allowed to use the family's kitchen when needed though. If you follow the road a little bit further outside town, you will see picture perfect rice fields and the real Lankan countryside. Very nice to take a walk there, or even do a small hike (3.5 km) over rural roads to beautiful Jungle beach.

It was filthy when we arrived with ants cockroaches, geckos and quite dusty so we cleaned it ourselves. After we mentioned this it was cleaned a bit more. The power unfortunately went out for a whole night which made it very hot and sweaty.

The location was great, we felt very safe and the hosts were nice and welcoming. The sheets were even washed once throughout our stay which was great and the washing machine was also very practical.
