Common kitchen could be more clean

I was there during the Sri Lankan new year, we did party and share some foods and drinks. It was really fun and good to make some friends. The manager fan speak korean! It’s really near from the beach as well

Facilities are amazing for the price. Aircon! Gym, good beds and comfortable mattresses. Also perfect common areas throughout. There is also a legendary in house chef who will cook the most amazing, cheap feasts, or u can use the inside or outside kitchen to cook your own! Location is also perfect. Quiet but also a 2 min walk from beach, supermarket, scooter rental and a bunch of restaurants. Cannot recommend the backpack hub highly enough. Thanks again legends!

The backpacker hub is a delightful spot in the heart of Weligama. Above all I love the vibe of the place, from its colorful rooftop lounge to its quaint little kitchen. The dormitories are comfortable - they are well air-conditioned with adequate space for storage ( I was able to fit in my entire backpack together with a few other side bags into one locker). I'd always start my day with a workout routine on the rooftop where there's a mini gym and space for yoga and meditation. To surf I'd have to walk only 5 mins to the beach, which isn't bad at all. More than anything however I would commend the friendliness of the staff. From the owner down to the caretaker, everyone at the backpacker hub is committed towards ensuring you have the best possible stay. They are super attentive to every need and host fun activities for everyone to connect and enjoy. It's such a great stay for an amazing price. Would definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed the stay here. Only the kitchen was quite dirty. Not really comfortable to prepare your breakfast at. That would be my only point of improvement.

Great hostel, nice vibe, friendly people. The rooms have airconditioning and a good shower. Very good price to value ratio. Supermarket, beach, busstation all in walking distance.

Rainy weather and musquitoes is the only thing that bothered me

Great access to the beach. Good facilities at the backpack hub and great communal area for travellers to meet up. Rooms were nice clean and well maintained. Kitchen facilities were good for coooking huge meals and Rooftop space for extra activities and hang partys.

Nothing to complain about actually.

The dorm room was air conditioned, they regularly cleaned the washroom so it was clean always, there was a shared kitchen with 2 fridges, washing machines, so much space is there inside and outside the building, very close to the town and grocery stores, pretty close to the beach too, and also so many great people to hang around with including the friendly staff. Loved my stay at this place!
