Beautiful accommodation. Tranquil spot away from the bustle of the Main Street. Very luxurious Sri Lankan feel. Breakfast was very good and staff very nice. Saw some wonderful wildlife from our balcony.

We stayed two nights at the Spice House. The first night was in the Lemongrass room - excellent. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was superb and the pool lovely. Our second night was in the Ginger room. Again excellent but somewhat removed from the main facilities. While only 300m from the main building and the main road , access was easier by tuk tuk or walking down unlit and unpaved laneways (not so much fun on wet nights).

Great location in jungle a few minutes from beach , first night we stayed in chilli room was so nice with a beautiful pool, second night in main part of house , both were great with the best breakfast. Staff very kind and helpful.

I liked everything about this place This an amazing corner of paradise with jungle view next to the beach everything is so beautiful the pool the garden the rooms are very clean with AC The people who worked are very nice the food is delicious and the owner of this home is very nice, who help you if you need anything 😀

Staff were excellent as was breakfast and entire stay. The staff made sure we had all the information we needed and all the needs we had were met with a smile. It was a place i would stay again and again.

The rooms were a bit hot because they are large and the one air conditioner didn’t keep it super cool. There were a few noisy dogs at night.

It is a unique property with different room options. I recommend the Chilli room. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was great.

The breakfast is served, with too much plate also if you don’t eat (a waste) and the meal is the same every day if you stay there long time

A little sustainable piece of heaven located in the heart of Mirissa yet making you feel as if you were disconnected from the world in the middle of the jungle. The facilities, the swimming pool and rooms were simply gorgeous! The staff is nice and helpful, the breakfast generous. We got the visit of a couple of animals too.

Nothing - it was perfect!

We absolutely loved this hotel. It's a gorgeous colonial style building with the most incredible pool - probably better than the pictures! Our room was in the main house and lovely, with a great balcony to relax on. You really feel like you're in the jungle here with monkeys and peacocks. Staff brilliant and the breakfast great. The location was also perfect - it's not by the main beach but the beach it is next to we far preferred - it's better for swimming and surfing, more beautiful in our opinion and there are beach bars you can spend a few hours relaxing at when you buy a drink. Fab restaurants nearby too.

Charming hotel with a beautiful, exotic garden - we loved staying at The Spice House! Staff were very friendly and the hybrid Western/Sri Lankan breakfast was great. Highly recommended!

Short walk and some locks to get to our adjacent stay but was not that long

Stunning trees and nature right next to pools. Delicious food. Felt secluded. Had the pool to ourselves mostly.

The room was a bit tired and could have been cleaner

The Spice House was exceptional. Our room was at the far end of a beautiful garden with wildlife all around. There were monkeys swinging from the trees, wild peacocks flying past and all sorts of wonderful birds in the trees. The situation was perfect for the beach across the road. The breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is quite far out of Mirissa - it’s a good 25-30 minute walk along a busy road so you really need to get a Tuk tuk if you want to go for dinner.

Great hotel with really nice rooms and a great pool - we were in one of the “standard” rooms and even this was lovely. The staff were also really friendly and breakfast was great too.
