United KingdomDespite Google Maps leading us astray, the staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful in assisting us to find our way. Their patience and guidance made a stressful situation much more manageable. While the hiccup with navigation was frustrating, the positive experience with the staff left a lasting impression.
Nestled amid Kandy's majestic mountains, The Summit Hotel offers a breathtaking view that steals the show. Watching the sun dip below the horizon during our arrival was simply magical. And rising early to witness the sunrise from our balcony with a steaming cup of coffee was the epitome of tranquility. You can even catch a glimpse of the stunning scenery from the reception, and there's a cozy viewpoint atop the hotel with a bar where we wished we could have lingered longer. Upon our arrival at The Summit Hotel, we were greeted with a refreshing welcome that set the tone for our entire stay. The offering of cold towels provided instant relief from the tropical heat, while the tantalizing aroma of strawberry and mint tea infused the air, inviting us to unwind and indulge in a moment of blissful relaxation. This thoughtful gesture exemplified the hotel's commitment to providing a holistic experience of comfort and rejuvenation from the very first moment of our arrival. Such small but meaningful touches added an extra layer of hospitality that truly elevated our stay to new heights. The service at The Summit was top-notch. The staff, including Jagan and Dharma, were incredibly polite, helpful, and always ready to assist. Their excellent command of English made communication a breeze, and they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Inside our room, modern elegance awaited. The sleek interior design and spotless cleanliness impressed us from the moment we stepped in. Every essential was thoughtfully provided, from the tea and coffee station to the plush towels and refreshing air conditioning. The bed was cozy, the shower was invigorating, and the view of the mountains added a touch of magic to even the simplest activities like brushing teeth or showering. Despite arriving later than planned, our dining experience at the hotel's restaurant exceeded expectations.

I loved everything about the property. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The owner was so lovely. We had some great chats! The whole place was bright white spotless and smelt beautiful. Our room had panoramic full glass views looking over Kandy. The bed was very comfortable and the shower brilliant. Over all a fantastic stay.

GermanyNot a major critic but suggestions for improvement: only 1 of the jars in the bathroom had a contents label, so recommend labels are added to the other jars. I would also recommend letting female guests know there is a hairdryer available for use (as there is none permanently in the room). Finally, I would also recommend telling guests there is possibility for extra towels (as only 1 was in the room). :-)
The location is such that there are incredibly breathtaking views of Kandy from the property. This includes having stunning views from sitting in bed or sitting on the private balcony. It’s also quite an adventure climbing the hills to get there!! The room was clean, everything newish and water/tea/coffee restocked daily. Bathroom was good size and very clean. The food was amazing; amongst the best I’ve eaten so far in Sri Lanka. The colleagues were incredibly accommodating in allowing me to swap some breakfast options and the Western portion was simply too much food for me. :-) Finally, everyone was always available for support and to answer all questions. The colleagues arranged a last-minute tour of a special location for me and also managed to organise a last-minute car for me to Nanoya. All in all a luxury boutique experience!

Wow, this was the most beautiful hotel ever. The view from our room was phenomenal. The manager and the staff were so welcoming and attentive. The food was 10/10. The bed was possibly the best bed I’ve ever slept on. We loved it here!

The room was spacious and the view was breathtaking. Their breakfast was not the best but it wasn't too bad. Overall, I would recommend staying at this hotel.

United KingdomA few kilometres out of city centre , but only about £3 in a Tuk-tuk . However you are on a hill so to get a tuk- tuk is a tad difficult. We did not speak to the staff about this , so perhaps they could have arranged it .

Having travelled extensively for some 40 years, I must say that this place is one of the best we have ever stayed in. Location was pristine, overlooking Kandy, away from the citys buzzing, noisy life. The service was top notch from the second we entered the gate. A heartfelt thank you to Pradeep and his team for making us feel like Queen and King! The kitchen is unbelievable. Two chefs with more than 50 years of experience between them prepare their own interpretation of local and international dishes at a level we have rarely enjoyed.

Everything about our one night stay here was absolutely superb. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Summit. The view from the room (which was very spacious) was amazing and the room itself very comfortable and with everything we needed. The food (breakfast and dinner) were delicious and the staff were attentive and professional. If we ever return to Kandy then we will definitely stay here again.

Spacious room with great view (all of the rooms have same view FYI), nice fruit and good options for breakfast incl Sri Lankan, choice of eggs, English. Staff very helpful, they will also help organise Tuks. Whole hotel was completely spotless, really clean!
