It was a just perfect stay! Quiet and beautiful place, friendly and helpful staff, good food, excellent view to mountains and nine arch bridge from terrace and big clean room with an amazing view.

Very good view and nice facilities. Very kind staff. Where allowed to use the pool after checkout while we waited for our departure. Where even offered a room to have space for refreshment. Really excellent service!

A great hotel with the most breathtaking views - Whether you're by the pool or in your room. The staff were so attentive, couldn't do enough for you. The food was great, particularly breakfast and lunch. It's a great location to visit Little Adams Peak and Nine Arch Bridge, which are both walkable (if you're semi-fit). I'd come back here in a heartbeat.

We ate at the restaurant a couple of times, although the food was good the menu was perhaps a little limited for what we like.

The hotel is in a gorgeous location with the best views. It's also walking distance from the nine arch bridge and little Adam's peak, and a short tuk tuk ride into town. We found Ella town to be very busy and touristy so were very pleased to be a little out the way to enjoy the area. The patio and pool area was stunning. The staff were absolutely brilliant too.

The beds could be improved and more proper cleaning on the room's furniture would be nice.

The location is great because you can always combine it with a walk down to ella passing by the 9 arch bridge. The views were amazing, also waking up to it was a highlight. Breakfast was great, a lot of food and free to choose from their selection, its quality was just ok though. The staff was super helpful and attentive. Their tuktuk service was very convinient and cheap.

The enjoyment of this hotel really does depend on the weather - when it is hot and sunny the breakfast terrace and the pool are incredible! Unfortunately on our first day it rained and was cloudy, due to its location being about a 12-15 minute Tuk Tuk out of Ella centre this meant we were a bit bored but that is no responsibility of the staff - if you want to be able to easily walk to Ella for food/drinking/activities I wouldn’t recommend this hotel but if you’re in the market for relaxing in the sun then it is absolutely amazing! It is worth noting that the hotel has a tuk tuk but I can’t comment on how much it costs. We only took one tuk tuk to the hotel and it was on the pricey side being out of Ella (around 1,200 rps) I would recommend getting a scooter which was much more cost effective.

Tip Top has a amazing view of the nine arch bridge and a lovely outdoor area with pool, sun loungers and the dining area. It’s extremely serene and quiet and the food we had for breakfast was delicious! The reception area was a bit tired looking but we didn’t spend any time there. The staff were wonderful and very attentive helping us where they could and enjoying a chit chat with us.

Swimming pool and surroundings overlooking the valley and the railway are amazing. Breakfast had plenty of choices and all very nice. Our apartment was very spacious. We would recommend this place for it's peacefulness compared to the town of Ella, which is just a short drive away but a narrow road.

This is a superb hotel in a wonderful location above Ella. The views are stunning, you can see ( and walk to) Nine Arch Bridge and watch the trains go by. Lovely pool and public terrace area where meals can be taken. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Every staff member was delightful and concerned that we should be comfortable

Very bumpy road to get to the hotel, our driver couldn't make it in his car so the hotel met us with their tuk tuk. Strange room layout with 3 beds and a cooking area but all very clean and comfortable.

The views are absolutely outstanding. Very close proximity to 9 arches bridge, walkable. Ella is a tuk tuk ride away which the hotel easily arranges. Massive room and excellent breakfast

The hotel requires a short drive via a Tuk Tuk to get there as the lane is too narrow for most cars, but the hotel always sorted this for us and we’re very helpful.

Amazing views of the Nine Arch bridge and Ella. The pool would be great if you get good weather! We loved the breakfast and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

The hotel is a little out of the way and the route to get there is not the best road, more like a dirt track. Although being out of the way has it’s own charms (amazing views and relaxation), it does mean you need to travel into town if you want to eat at a place there. The food at the hotel is good but nice to have a change too. To note, the hotel can quickly get you a tuk tuk when needed. To take this place up a notch, it could do with some TLC (e.g room paint was not great (marks on the walls), some sheets had marks (definitely clean, just stained) and the towels were quite rough and thin - just improving these small things will make the place even better.

I had a great stay at Tip Top. The staff are an asset to the hotel, really friendly and helpful (Dharishan and Buddhika were great) My room was big and spacious and I had my own private balcony with an amazing view (including of the nine arch bridge). There was a fridge in the room, a kettle with well stocked teabags. The shower was great, good pressure and hot water. I was particularly thankful to the staff for making me a breakfast box (with delicious sandwiches) on the day I was taking a trip to Yala and had to leave at 3:45am. Pool area is nice too although water was a bit cold.

A long bumpy track to get to the property but well worth it !

Fantastic location with superb views and pool . You can see the nine arch bridge and watch the trains which was just stunning . Rooms were large clean and the remote control curtain was fun unveiling an amazing view in the morning!!
