Location was good with a great restaurant just down the road. The owner kindly organised a safari to Bundala. It was rather expensive but I was the only one on it ! Beautifully comfortable bed. Nice looking swimming pool but never got to use it.

The room was a very awkward shape with barely room to move. Some hooks for clothes would be helpful - but I only stayed one night and other rooms could be more convenient

The kindness and helpfulness of the owner more than anything, the staff are also helpful, it’s clean and the swimming pool is great - again very clean and inviting

The lady of the house was super friendly. They arranged a safari trio to Yala for us for a good price and also a driver to get us to our next location. The pool was perfect to cool down after the safari. I would recommend to stay for more than one night, so you can take the time to rest after you went on the safari trip. Definitely order the breakfast! You get everything for a good start of the day. It's very nice to sit outside, every room has a small area with a table and chairs so you can have your own little resting area.

We had a lovely balcony from which we watched numerous exotic birds. We also saw land monitors, mongoose, monkeys, fruit bats & turtles without leaving our chairs. Amazing! Our hosts were very helpful and arranged a guided trip round Yala for us with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. The hotel is close to a wonderful restaurant and opposite a wine store. What more could one ask? We loved our stay here and thoroughly recommend it.

The room looks nothing like the pictures on booking.com. Facilities were old. They really need to update their pictures. The AC generated was super load that I thought someone is doing construction work outside. The other room had power trip at the middle of the night…

Staff were very helpful and nice. They do laundry service with extra cost, which you can get on the next day when you are back from the safari trip.

The baclony of the room overlooked the rice paddies and it was a great place to sit and watch the birdlife. Pool was nice. Hotel organised a safari to Bundala which was excellent...the guide from the national park was exceptional.

On the booking site it said that there were lake views but there weren't. However, the setting with palms and rice paddies was attractive & relaxing.

A genuine small family guesthouse where the owners clearly work very hard and flex to meet travellers needs. Good breakfast & fresh juices available. Met all my needs really well inc. clean room & bathroom & comfortable bed. A bonus was having a pool; they allowed me to have a swim after I'd checked out & came back from local sightseeing. Also in a good central location with a bus stop. It's set well back from the road next to a rice paddy. Tissa is more than just a base for visiting Yala as Tissa was a very important town in ancient times and the guesthouse was within easy walking distance of the Yahala Dal.. W.... temple and it's fabulous little museum (guidebooks also recommend this museum). I also loved the fruit bat area and walking beside the lake to another restaurant area.

The whole place felt a bit run down. There's a bar and restaurant apparently but it all looks a bit vacant. The owner seems more interested in getting you to book Yala or Bundala visits. We did Bundula and really lucked out, it was amazing BUT I'm guessing most of the money we paid (slr 18000 each) did not go to the two people who deserved it, our driver (amazing) and guide (ditto) but to the guy behind the desk <sigh>

A comfortable room, we had seats outside on a shared balcony . A couple of good local restaurants nearby, breakfast at a local bakery was excellent.

Our rooms were fan only and the fans were not that strong so the rooms were very hot. We didn’t have hot water in our rooms but the hosts offered us to use a different bathroom instead if we wanted to use hot water. It was cash only to pay for the safari.

Nice accommodation in a good location for Yala national park with a nice pool. Staff were friendly and helpful and we did laundry with them for a good price. We also booked the Yala safari with them which was good. Accommodation is within easy reach of the bus station.

Location is good, 12 min walk from town but next to best restaurants, not needed to go into town. Staff very friendly and helpful, organized safari tours, aircon and swimming pool
