There was some construction work going on in the restaurant during our stay which detracted somewhat from the peace and quiet of the area otherwise we would have scored 10 for this beautiful guesthouse.

This accommodation was amazing in all regards. The location is absolutely stunning being situated at the far end of the Victoria Reservoir with unobstructed views for many miles. The bedroom and tiled bathroom were both huge and modern. There was touch of luxury in the quality of the bed linen and towels. The large beds being extremely comfortable. There were no barking dogs to disturb our sleep only the sounds of birds in the morning. The swimming pool was also lovely at the end of a long day out. Breakfasts were plentiful and varied. Dinners were the best we have had in Sri Lanka in our 30 days here so far and fairly priced There was a small menu but sufficient for most tastes. The staff and owners were wonderfully hospitable and couldn't do enough for us. They organised a tuktuk for us to the local Dam, and helped with out onward travel arranements.

Balcony is massive but furnished with just two deck chairs and a little table. The bar across the balcony insures some of the view. I suggest two bed chairs and two comfy upright chairs. Whilst we were there building work was taking place. Imagine the beauty of the view and instead of birdsong you have an all-day chainsaw. And not only all-day but up to 2100 as well. Not good enough.

Fantastic view. Amazing in fact. West-facing for afternoon sun and sunset. Nice pool. Food was so good; so much of it and so much flavour. Dilshan and Wasandi were really friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and the shower was powerful and hot. Bed was very comfortable.

Lovely Location overlooking the Victoria Reservoir, clean and spacious room and friendly service from Dinesh (The Manager ). Will surely consider this hotel to revisit and will recommend to my friends.

A delightful and peaceful stay. The room and views were beautiful and everything was just like in the photos. The food was so delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly. Only wish I could have stayed longer!

The WiFi is poor and water heater is really loud. You hear everytime your neighbors turn on the watter.

The staff is so nice! Food is so yummy and the view is so beautiful.

Nothing at all

What did we like about the property ? The place hands down. What a place. We’ve been to many places, but this, it’s something different. It’s calm, quiet and beautiful at the same time. Hotel staff (Dinesh $ cooking lady) were great and the food, wowww, everything she cooked was so tasty. One of the best places to visit. We will definitely go back here again. Thank you.

The access to the rooms is by stairs and there are over 50 stairs to get to the top floor.. one has to be fit enough to climb upto the rooms.

The location was stunning, the rooms were spacious and clean, the cook and caretaker were very professional, prepared very tasty meals and were very attentive. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure with instant hot water.. we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay.

Incredible comfort and hospitality. European perfect quality. Magic nature view, clean fresh water in swimming pool, tasty and variety food, comfortable bed, silence and quiet. Hotel staff treated us with the utmost kindness, patience, responsible and understanding. You welcomed us in without a thought — we asked, and you said “yes” immediately. You are such a blessing! We can’t thank you enough for that amazing generosity. If I could, I’d give you five stars!

There are no restaurants nearby, and since it was clearly said on booking.com that rooms were equipped with electric kettle for cooking, we bought a lot of groceries in the supermarket before coming to the hotel. However, there was no kettle, no options for cooking our own food, and we just had to give all the groceries bought to the hotel workers...
