The shower wasn't very hot and the water pressure was very weak.

The view from the room and the top terrace was beautiful, private and tranquil. Anjana was super friendly and welcoming. He went out of his way to make me feel at home and was flexible with check in and checkout times. They helped me do some laundry and cooked up a delicious vegan breakfast. I'd without a doubt stay again next time I'm in Kandy.

Villa Forest View is a lovely family run establishment located in the peaceful and serene neighborhood of Uplands in Kandy. There are just 3 spacious rooms. At least two rooms (unsure about the third) have unrestricted views of the forest canopy, the surrounding hills and Kandy. The view and the sunsets are to die! Villa Forest View has an incredible open terrace on the top floor with scenery that goes on forever. The proprietors/owners are an adorable couple who will make you feel welcome and patiently answer all your questions. They also employ a lovely young woman who greeted me when I first arrived and who helps keep the place spotless. For a modest fee, they will provide car service if you want to go somewhere special. Or if you prefer a tuk tuk, it was easy to arrange. I don’t have PickMe but the owners do and they called a tuk tuk for me. My room was AMAZING. So beautiful, with AC, hot water and a TV which I did not need or use. Lots of lights and outlets, too. In the morning you can hear tons of birds melodiously chirping in the forest. You can buy breakfast for a reasonable price which I HIGHLY recommend as it was very filling and delicious and you get to enjoy it on the rooftop terrace. Other meals can also be arranged. If you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to break your journey, you will not regret a stay at Villa Forest View.

Amazing place to stay at when visiting Kandy, the owner is very engaged and made us feel like home. We enjoyed a great breakfast and dinner served on the terrace on the top floor with a beautiful view. We also booked a tour with him and had an amazing day. The location is great as the forest is nearby and you can even spot monkeys.

Lovely room, great hospitality, and amazing home cooked food! The owner was really friendly and helpful, and made me feel so welcome. The room was really comfortable and spacious. The property overlooks Udawattakele sanctuary, it's literally on the edge of the forest so you have nice views and it's really nice and peaceful here, far away from the chaos of Kandy. It's too far to walk to town, but a good way to get round this is to hirea tuk tuk driver for the day who can take you to all the attractions (tea factories, Nelligala temple, botanical garden, Kandylake etc). At the time there are brief, scheduled power cuts, but there are bright battery operated lamps provided in the room so it's not an issue.

The location is not far from the city but it's very quiet, calm and peaceful. The hosts were so helpful and friendly. Foods were delicious. Overall it was really good. We enjoyed our stay and would go there again. Highly recommended.

There are no words to describe my experience in this place, It exceeded my expectations the first moment I visited there. 3km from the city center.Quiet and wonderful neighborhood. Nice view from the room & roof top.Room is spacious enough for more than three people.Bathroom is also very plesent and clean,Hot warter pressure was great.We had Delicious dinner & breakfast at this property which we could choose betweeen English & Asian.Owner Mr 'Anjana' is a very nice person, He gave us all the details and directions to vist around kandy. I would highly recomend this place for anyone who visit Kandy for a better experience.

Everything. Wonderful spot with nice view. The room was very nice, newly decorated, clean and comfortable. The rooftop lounge was a lovely spot to kick back with a drink at the end of the day. The owner was very nice, and couldn't do enough for us. He allowed us access to the kitchen to make our own tea in the morning for a very early checkout. Wonderful, i highly recommend this place.

Great stay at villa forest view. The family makes u feel like your staying with your friends. They are super friendly and helped with everything. Even made some extra food for our toddler, gave us a ride to the parking place where it was easier for our driver to come to. They were really the nicest host you can imagine. We had a spacious room with a small balcony and you can overlook some green and even spot monkeys and birds. also the terrace where they serve breakfast has a very nice view. The room was clean, even under the bed 😉 It’s maybe not a 5 start hotel but 5 star hospitality and family

Loved the peaceful location with incredible views over Kandy. The rooms were comfortable and clean and Anjana and his wife were excellent hosts. Don’t be put off from the distance to town, we enjoyed the walk and getting to know the neighbourhood - it’s also only a short tuk tuk ride :-)
