It’s a beautiful peaceful place, surrounding by nature 🌱🌱🦎 All the staff are amazing, food is delicious and the view from the pool is just wow Highly recommended if you wanna stay away from the noise and relax your body and mind in beautiful part of Sri Lanka (at the mountain)😻 Wanna come back again to this paradise! Villa Hillcrest was absolutely stunning, it's probably the most beautiful place I've ever stayed and the staff were so lovely and helpful. The location is a little outside of Weligama and I'd recommend organising your arival with the team in advance (it's up a steep road and probably needs an experienced driver or tuk tuk to get there). It's not easily walkable into town but the views, pool and gorgeous rooms easily made up for that! The stay was great value, would absolutely recommend to anyone!

The chillout area with the pool and the views was stunning!! The owner was super nice with us and he arranged transfers for us during our stay. The apartments are just lovely, definitely a place to stay in if you are in Weligama.

It's good to be outside the city, but the way to reach the hotel can be challenging in scooter/tuk tuk.

Very nice new hotel. The rooms are beautiful, the pool is stunning. Kasun and his staff are very helpful and friendly, especially the young man who is serving/cooking. Very good price/quality

This is amazing place when you want your stay to be within a nature, a bit far from main streets but still with easy and quick transfer to the beach. The owner and all staff working there are fantastic people and you can rely on all services they provide. Try amazing food prepared in the Villa, ask for fish / seafood barbecue and simply enjoy it in the garden with beautiful view. However, you need to be aware that Villa is located on the hill within a big garden / jungle. So you might meet various animals and insects. Place is perfect for nature lovers.

We started by booking for two days, and then added two more, and then three more, so we spent a total of a week here at the Hillcrest Villas. Located in the hills above Weligama in a quiet neighborhood where you have to pass through the beautiful rice paddies, the room was extremely comfy, especially since we had a little kitchenette to make breakfast and snacks in, the outdoor bathroom was so beautiful with the plants and views to the monkeys passing by, and the property with the pool and view was a dream. The staff was all wonderful and extremely sweet! Kasun the owner did a wonderful job of not only curating a beautiful space, but also curating a wonderful experience!

We had some piles of rubbish outside which were not great, but we didn’t notice till the second day. It’s also far from town/beach but we had our own transport so it was perfect for us.

An incredibly beautiful spot. The little villa is a dream come true - it really is something special. The pool view is amazing and the kitchen is great for some quick breakfasts!

The level of motorcycle driving skills must be confident to get in there or should the rain appear, tuk-tuk is always an option on the other hand. Little issues with one shower, but it had an open bath with another shower so it didn’t bother us too much. Some construction works are going on not far from pool area, didn’t bother me we spent whole day on the pool, but that might be breaker for someone.

The view is spectacular, super nice host, this is a family business for him, so he is trying his best. Nice service, very clean rooms. Taste is an individual thing, but my personal opinion is that the owner is not deprived of it, a very beautiful selection of colors, various small accessories and location relatively to the view. So that’s definitely an insta spot and super nice choice to stay out of crowded areas on heels surrounded by forest. Very tasty fruits and pleasant breakfast over all. Only 2 villas on property, so whenever you the only renter the owner treats you like it’s your private villa which is nice)

Amazing hill location, quiet place, pool with view on bay behind the jungle. No noisy streets and railroads, 5 mins by bike to Weligama beach. Everything is new, amazing choice of furnishings, dishes, bed linen, very balanced and peacful design. Polite, hospital and friendly host Kasun helps in any case, gives best tips. Very good breakfast choice, perfect coffee. Room cleaning scheduled or requested, self cooking facilities. Houses located the way guests never bother each other. My best sleep experience in Sri Lanka. This is actually a hotel level of service.

We took a room with a bath. We stay with a baby. I waited to My baby falling sleep and then i wanted to take a bath and relax. The room is part from 4 rooms building . After filling half bath there was no more hot water. If you wait 15-30 min you get hot water for more 7 min. Really frustrating. I didn’t manage to take a bath as i planned. When i complain they wanted to water the room but the baby is sleeping and there is no way to fiz this. If you selling a room with a bath you should maintain a satisfied boiler water. In addition at the morning we ordered 2 avocado toast and espresso and latte. We waited 1 hour and 20 min to get the food !!!! After 30 min i go to ask for the coffee servals times. How much time it takes to prepare avocado toast??? 20 min max?? . They even didn’t say that they are sorry

The room interiors are all black without enough light. Room looked very dingy and depressing. At the time of checkin, we were given a form to enter our details along with mode of payment which we chose as card. Next day at the time of checkout we were told they are unregistered and dont accept cards. We didnt have enough cash, the property owner/manager came with us to the ATM and while on the way he was stopped by police because he was using phone while riding scooty. It was extremely hot and we had our flights to catch. It wasted a lot of our time and a lot of exhaustion and hassle. The experience wasnt very good. The food was also not very great.

1. Quite difficult road, with people in the car, our driver couldn’t make it up to the hill. 2. Soundproofing surprised us as we could hear what people talk about.. 3. Our room was located under black roof and even 2 a/c’s couldn’t properly cool it down.. :( 4. In our opinion food on menu is overpriced comparing to other hotels we stayed in on Sri Lanka. Prices are in $ 😳

Very unpleasant moment had when we walk to the bolla to check whether their is any packing before the break road stats and the end of carpet road. The owners mother came and question us as like which are very unpleasant and out of the situation (asked personal thing which don't they need to know) and we went for Foozoo Mantra which is very welcoming and clam place to stay.

Actually i went there and the road to the bolla last 100m very poor road and we didn't get tonthe billa due to road issue.
