We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The accommodations are quite simple, but given the price, they suffice. The staff is exceptionally friendly, making us feel right at home.

PolandWe had amazing time, the bed is comfortable, the windows have protection for bugs, the ac works perfectly, the stream of the water works great! We loved the little private patio, and the rooftop bar. The fish stake was spectacular and huge! And the host is friendly and helpful!

Sri LankaWe originally intended to stay for 2 nights, but ended up extending up to 9 nights. We would always be welcomed with a warm smile by the host and his wife and they were ready to respond to any requests (not only culinary) or questions with genuine attention. The room was nice and clean, with a/c being a huge benefit and the location convenient for exploring the further area.

Sri LankaHotel Meritha was amazing! We stayed here for two nights with friends for a music event in Una, and the owner was super accommodating and helpful. The rooms were spacious, and clean, provided all the basic amenities and were comfortable. We had a great stay and would recommend Hotel Meritha for short and long-term stays.

AustriaThe hotel is at a great location just a few hundred meters from the main shopping street of unawatuna, situated in a silent side street. The host is one of the kindest people you will meet in Sri Lanka and will help you with anything you need. Advice, really good fresh fruit juices or amazing curry with 100% fresh ingredients. We’ve made the experience in Sri Lanka that usually you hardly ever get European standard for that price but here you have AC, very clean rooms with very comfortable beds and functioning mosquito nets. I can warmly recommend to spend here several nights! Food shops, scooter rental, surf spots are just around the corner!

IndiaI would recommend my travel buddies, please dont stay in this place. First of all the location is far from beach and in heavy rains, the water is lodged at the entrance. Moreover behind the smiling personality of the owner lies the madness. He is totally fake person and not the true of good and welcoming sri lankan. We just got 15 mins late for checkout for which he was yelling and pushing us out of the hotel. And above that screaming in front of your face and demanded additional money and threatening me and my friends. So after giving additional money, we went to tourist police and explained the story to which he came and apologised and gave us the money back due to police pressure. But genuinely he had no intention of apologizing. So please stay away from this and have a great time in Sri lanka!!
