A fridge in the room would be good for keeping bottled water cool.

Beautiful attention to detail and pride in the place. Comfortable bed. The owners went out of their way to accommodate us (late arrival and early start the next day). Lovely fresh fruit with breakfast.

Mosquitoes are big problem, although we had a lovely stay in the room, they kept us awake at night, bed net would be a good optin to add.

Very nice place, beautifly decorated, comfortable, not far from the city. Owner is kind and humble and prepared to help you with everythig! He arranged for us tuk-tuk driver ( the funniest driver in Sri Lanka) who took us to all the places in Kandy and drived us the whole day - we had the best time!

Beautiful clean, comfortable rooms. Newly finished wonderfully creative & green hotel. Both Western & very delicious SR breakfasts available. Delightful & generous hosts showing us the best things to do from ayurveda massage to the cultural show. A 15 minute walk down the hill to the lake or an easy tutuk ride. Nice little pool to cool off in.. Has filtered water available. Local shops have good 'small bites'.

I have suggested a couple of minor improvements to Chana, but his twenty-five years in the hotel industry, attention to detail, and passion for service shines through any small flaws.

The word "oasis" has been used a lot to describe Chana and Moon's little piece of paradise in Kandy, which may be cliched, but there isn't a better description. The property is centrally located, but you don't hear any city noise. One could spend a whole day exploring the Villa, which was designed, built and decorated by Chana. Every morning, Moon prepares a three-course breakfast of your choice, after which you can embark on a tour that is expertly arranged by Chana; or simply laze around the pool. Personal attention and service is unsurpassed. My wife's asthma had flared up while we were there, so Chana drove us to the local hospital and waited with us while she received out-patient care. We hope to return to Sri Lanka in the near future - mainly to stay at Villa Olde Ceylon again.

The owners are super kind, they helped us in managing different requests. Room had a cozy balcony and the room was clean and comfortable. Delicious homemade breakfast. The swimming pool is definitely a plus. I recommend to stay at Villa Olde Ceylon, if felt like home.

Chana and Moon are the most delightful and welcoming hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. This hotel is a little gem and every day I found a new delight to feast my eyes on. The gardens and pool are an oasis. Such an amazing find!!

I enjoyed a lot my staying. It was a long period and I was feeling like at home. Both Moon and Chanaka were helping me with everything I needed, they even went with me shopping în the town, made lunch for me or ordered food if I prefered eating at home. And all that just becaise they wanted me to feel at home. And I did 😍 The place îs much more than you can see în the photos, you have your own jumgle and lots of plants în your balconies which give you intimacy. Wish them luck în everytihng matter to them!!!

The best stay I've ever had. Memorable for life for sure! I was so stressed out by Kandy's hectic city vibes, that their beautiful hotel felt like an oasis (just as it looks and feels like on the photos). I had completely forgotten about dinner, and was surprised with scrambled eggs on toast (my favorite!). Chanaka & Moon are two beautiful people, who look after their guests wonderfully. Even though I would not like to visit Kandy city again, I would visit again only to stay at Villa Olde Ceylon for multiple days <3

I strongly recommend you stay here! It was a highlight of our trip! The property is immaculate, and is so beautifully done up. With the plants you feel as if you are in a jungle Oasis. Combined with the pool, this property is a slice of relaxation away from the bustling city! The host Chanaka and his wife were fantastic; for feeding us with an excellent breakfast, to providing ample recommendations. They even secured us a local TukTuk driver to show us the sights of Kandy, at a very affordable price! As we arrived late they took us by tuk to a friends restaurant for some delicious curry! The place is beautiful. Very nice decoration and extremely clean. Lots of attention to detail. The room was lovely, very quiet and especial for a good night sleep. I loved the shower and the amazing cinnamon scent shower gel. They gave us 2 towels each, which for me is really good as I need 2 towels. The breakfast is delicious. Best breakfast I ever had in a hotel. The owner of the place is a very nice man who helped us with tuk tuk booking, tickets to the traditional dancing, etc. Everything was perfect. I totally recommend this place

It was awesome! It was simply fantastic! The accommodation is incredibly lovingly designed. We enjoyed our stay so much! Everything was super clean and we directly felt like at home. Chanan and his wife are wonderful hosts. They organised Everything for us to make sure we have a wonderful time in Kandy. If you stay there, you should ask them for tips. For example, we got best places for the Kandy Dance spontaniously and a really nice TukTuk driver. Additionally, they prepared the best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka! She is such a good cook! If you ever go to Kandy, go to the Villa Olde Ceylon! You will not regret!

This place is stunningly beautiful! It's an oasis of tranquility and wellness very close to the city centre. As soon as you walk in you will be overwhelmed by the amazing artwork and the amazing style of the villa. Didn't find anything comparable to this hidden gem! It's just next level. This property is just a small amazing jungle oase in the middle of Kandy. I’ve been traveling for 10 years and its probably the most beautiful hotel i’ve stayed in. It has it all, from a nice refreshing pool, to hidden and super cozy chill areas, super clean and comfortable rooms, breathtaking selfmade art hidden everywhere all surrounded by hundreds of exotic plants creates the best possible atmosphere.

Normally we travelled on a small Budget but before a Meditation Camp we wanted to be treated! And we definitely did !!! This stay was so much more then what the pictures showed, it is basically garden Eden of Sri Lanka, a jungle parades hidden in the big city. Super clean super friendly and professional personal. Highly recommended to stay here

Villa Olde Ceylon is situated in a semi-urban area with the most beautiful natural surroundings.In this beautiful place I got three alternative rooms to make my choice and enjoy my independence.Although it is located in a semi-urban area I was able to witness a green and a calm surrounding. And the owner of this will is a very friendly person who can handle English, French and Italian languages.The delicious food that were prepared by them were typical Sri lankan and they had a unique recipe for that.It was a fine day.

Excellent property - so many small details throughout. The pool was lovely and refreshing. Very clean throughout. Breakfasts were very good. Moon is a very good cook.
