Nothing. If we had any complaints at all the hotel was off the beaten track but for our very short (1 night stay) we had the hotel buffet which was very good.

Breakfast was lovely. Staff were great. The evening buffet was good and as an extra bonus they had live music. The singers were fantastic. Really fun and engaged their audience. We really enjoyed our very short stay at this hotel.

Due to the rain, there was no hot water. There were a few bugs in the room, but I get that it’s by a lake and is remote. It rained all night long and was really loud on the roof… it legit sounded like a hurricane was coming through, but outside, it didn’t look that bad… just poor roof design.

The rooms were nice and spacious, the air conditioning worked well, the grounds were pretty, the room was clean and very spacious for our family. Our adapter didn’t work, so the front desk supplied us with one.

There were lots of bugs due to the location near the lake,, also can have difficult access as there is a rocky muddy road to drive across.

The food was great with and the room was had a lot of space and well- presented.It was clean and is close to places to visit.

Buildings are outdated and the room had ants walking in at each window. The road to the hotels in poor quality and construction works blocked the access to the hotelmaking accessibility more difficult. The hotel messaged through the chat on this platform, however as we had no internet after our flight arrival we missed this message. The hotels pool is in bad shape, with the lights and wires hanging from the side walls to the edges of the pool just above the water surface.

Location has great views over the lake and is close to Sigiriya. The hotel offers a different 4 course menu every night for a reasonable price.

The pool facilities could use a bit of maintenance work. Our AC and our shower were leaking but the staff took care of it right away.

Amazingly helpful hotel manager and staff. Super nice and flexible service. The welcoming ceremony was really cute and thoughtful. The hotel picked us up immediately after we called them as we got stuck on the way :-) View from room 12 was beautiful, literally in the middle of nature.

-The road to get to the hotel is very bad. -We had the most weird check in our lives. As soon as we arrived into the hotel we felt very awkward and although the staff wanted to be helpful and friendly they didn’t know how to behave or talk to us. We assume is a cultural & language barrier. We were asked to pay straight after we arrived and parked our car, when normally you paid at check out. We refused and asked to at least see the room first. -The reception/ restaurant area needs some work, better lighting, music to create ambience, etc. - The hotel in general needs some maintenance, as soon as you walk to your room in the outdoor corridor, feels like a concrete prison where they hang the washed laundry and it’s not a pleasant way to get to your room. -Breakfast was so bad we decided to skip the second day. Coffee is terrible and so is the quality of the food. - I asked for vegetarian breakfast and they said no problem. Asked do you have curd, cheese, rotti? They said yes to everything. After a while of waiting and only eating tiny pieces of fruit and one piece of toast that comes with a block of different pieces of butter they put in the freezer together, they asked have you finished? And when I asked if the other vegetarian things were coming they said no, we don’t have that. -rooms smells nice and clean but the towels smell of damp and that’s probably because they let them dry in the rain outside. -The shower hasn’t been sealed and leaks and floods the bathroom. -The staff always tries their best but communication is hard. -Overall we felt that the price we paid wasn’t good for Sri Lanka standards as we had paid a bit more for way more better hotels and service.

The rooms are spacious, clean and modern with a nice balcony overlooking the lake, swimming pool and a well looked after garden.

Highight of this hote is the staff. Very friendly and attentive to us. They even upgraded us to one of their best rooms. Food here was good the room was comfortable. the view was stunning. Definitely recommend and we will visit againfor sure

Showers were very bad. Hardly any water at all and no hot water in the evening. Had to "request" hot water. (not really great if you are standing under the shower) For if you travel with driver: accommodation for them is really bad and food too. We felt pretty bad for him 😔 Oh yeah: skip the coffee😒 ☕

Location is beautiful, on the end of a sandy "road". The rooms have a balcony overlooking the pool and lake in the background. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are spacious. We had a 2 and a 4p room and the 4p was enourmous. The pool was very nice for cooling down after a hot day. Breakfast was okay. Nice eggs and french toast. Skip the coffee: its horrible.

There is nothing bad about the hotel. Simply just loved it.

The hotel is perfectly located in the most beautiful surroundings. We loved every minute of our stay. We had a lovely room with lake-view and balcony where we enjoyed refreshments and sunsets/sunrises. The beds are very comfy, and the bathroom was nice and clean. The pool area was very nice with Lake-view and surrounded by the well kept garden. The staff is so sweet and helpfull and will do everything to give you the best experience and time in Sri Lanka. They helped us with trips, transport and advice. Especially Damith was such a big help, and he made our stay so pleasent and a good experience. One day, we went for a hike very early in the morning, and he made sure to save some breakfast for us when we got back to the hotel. The food was also very good! The hotel is within walking distance from the Lion Rock, and it’s very easy to get around from the hotel, and at the same time it’s located in beautiful and very authentic surroundings. We stayed for four days, but we would have loved to stay longer.

The breakfast could be better. Also the lodge has a huge potencial but it seems that need a bit of improvement. Nevertheless is a nice place to have some relax and enjoy vacations.

The lodge is really beautiful and with a nice atmosphere. The staff and the Manager were really helpfull and kind! Nice place do relax, with a really nice view to the lake.
