Like in all other hotels where we stayed so far on this trip in Srilanka, we noticed a lack of maintenance. By the way this also is applicable to other Asian countries, like Indonesia, where we noticed the same short-coming. Probably the culture lacks feel for "preventive maintenance" and daily inspection of the proper functioning of equipment. This is a job for room-cleaners to report to the maintenance engineer to handle (if such position exists in this hotel).

The Guest Relations Manager Mr. Rajitha provided us excellent service throughout our stay at the White House. All staff were extremely friendly, just like all people we meet in Srilanka. We enjoyed the taste of the welcome drink on arrival at the hotel. The room (Pettagama) was spacy and well equipped. We enjoyed the small refrigerator, the airco was working well, no problems with mosquitoes. Last night the guests in the adjacent room had their TV sound too high, as a result that we could not sleep. We called the reception desk to ask them to contact the guests in question so as to ask them to turn down the sound of the TV. We were most pleased that the reception immediately and successfully followed up on our request.

Kids love the pool but it has some sharp edges.

Jacuzzi tub was not clean. We opted not to use it.

Nice kids friendly themed room. We had an amazing dinner & breakfast buffets with lots of options. Had a good time in the pool. The staff were really helpful, attentive and friendly.

The superior family rooms have a "crazy" & funny interior - our (young) kids loved the surprise, just don't tell them beforehand ;-). Ideal for a short one night stay. Restaurant is good, breakfast rather disappointing.

My stay at White House Hotel was exceptional. The staff, from security to the manager, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms, especially the VVIP family room we stayed at, were spotless, cozy, and inviting. The hotel's facilities, including a well-equipped fitness center and a refreshing pool, pool tables and other amazing facilities added an extra layer of enjoyment for me and my family. Highly recommended for a fantastic and comfortable stay. I'll definitely be back!

Pictures in booking.com are old, the place could do with a face lift.

The staff were all extremely helpful welcoming and friendly. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was delicious especially the omelette and dhal. Our bus was over an hour delayed so we didn’t arrive until after 2:30am, there were no issues with this and the security guard was extremely welcoming and helpful with our bags and showing us to our room.
